Dr. Jay Ivan Stern, MD

I've been going to Dr. Lilly and Associates for about 3 years now. My doctor is Dr. Jay Stern. Today my appointment did not go well, and prompts me writing this review. Although Dr. Stern is very thorough when it comes to health, he is also rude, sarcastic, does not value his patients, and his customer service is the worst! First, let me say that I am a very patient person and always will give the other person the benefit of the doubt. At the Hyattsville office, it is normal to wait a hour and a half after your appointment before you are seen. I try to look pass this issue considering the office is convenient in so many other ways. Getting back to my point, today was the one I could no longer be silent. I respectfully voice my concerns to Dr. Stern informing him of the long wait times. He became unpleasant stating that he doesn't take time to hear complaints, and I should seek another physician if I was in a hurry to get in and out. I responded that it was unnecessary to speak to me in… that tone, and although I could respect that he is the doctor, it's important to keep in mind that "everyone time is valuable" not just his. It was evident that Dr. Stern is set is his old ways, use to having things done his way without anyone taking a stand to say when something is out of order. It's do things his way or the highway. Well Dr. Stern, I have high expectations. One reason is I pay too much for health care to accept anything less than your professionalism. I am disappointed with the way that he treated me as if I didn't matter. So, I most definitely will be seeking health care elsewhere. But my question to you Dr. Stern (because I'm sure that I'm not the only one) what happens when there are no more patients that tolerate your wrong behavior?
