Great doctor, very knowledgeable and caring. She takes the time to listen and provide the best solution to meet the needs of the patient.

Beware, this doctor charges $600 for a visit. Way over priced.

I would not waste my time with this doctor. Several times she did not even come to work due, her staff said, personal problems. She seemed to not care about me & my health. Very cold doctor that seems out of it all the time.

I saw Dr Ferrara/Gerhard for my annual and problem visit. She was great! I don't particularly like those visits and get very nervous. She made me feel calm and at ease. She kept the chatter light which immediately lessened my level of stress. She was very thorough in my exam and explained things to me in detail and made sure I understood. I will go back to her again and would recommend her to people I know. The people who posted the negative posts must have been having a bad day. I'll be seeing her for years to come!

De. Jean Ferrera has terrible bedside manner and is quick to dismiss questions by asserting her knowledge and disregarding the individual circumstance. I don't think she is extremely knowledgeable and appears to hold on to outdated schools of though without giving additional consideration to other possibilities. She is very non-responsive and does not do well with follow-up. She does not call with test results and does not check in a few days after an appt when she probably should in certain circumstances. I've also scheduled appointments for one thing and come in to them thinking it was for another. On the plus side, I rarely have to wait once I'm at the office for an appt.

As an OBGYN, Dr. Jean Ferrara is qualified to deliver a healthy baby. But I strongly advise anyone reading this not to use her as a doctor. The experience of being her patient leaves much to be desired: Dr. Ferraraâ??s bedside manner is rushed and aloof; she does not listen particularly well; and I often found her to be dismissive of my questions and individualized concerns. In particular, she repeatedly trivialized of my post-delivery pain and unfortunately left me thoroughly unsupported at the point in the pregnancy when I needed her most. My baby is healthy, and I thank her for that. However, based upon my experience as her patient, I cannot under any circumstances recommend her as a physician. There are many excellent OBGYNs serving Plano, TX â?? I strongly urge you to see someone other than Jean Ferrara.

I definitely recommend Dr. Ferrara. She does an excellent job. I think that the best thing about seeing her is her Staff. Mary goes above and beyond the call of duty. She is compassionate and goes out of her way to help. Not many people are so caring in their jobs.
