Dr. Jean Lim Tan, MD

She has a sweetness toward families that need her expert care advice. I always listened to her.. DrTan knew about my children and how I was critically abused because folks wanted drugs or benefits off shelf. She asked if they could Stop harrassing me. She said you and Ms open should go to a Dr she had on a Privacy Act List... Chinese heart Drs. She said Bressman Not Good as traded baby info.

Dr. Tan provides old school patient care in an ever changing environment driven by insurance companies and the government. Despite these changes, Dr. Tan remains dedicated to each and everyone of her patients. You see only Dr. Tan - she does not have an associate, PA's or NP's. She does not rush into an exam room for 5 minutes and then move onto the next patient. Rather, she spends time to talk with you, reviews your medications, current issues, discusses overall health (including mental health), etc. She is an intelligent and experienced MD with an exceptional bed side manner. My husband and I have been going to her for over 10 years. My mother and grandmother are also patients of Dr. Tan. As a nurse myself (I do not work for Dr. Tan), every medical practice experiences office staff issues, records request and payment for copies is STANDARD practice in the medical field, if you had labs drawn a week ago, but now go to see any doctor with a complaint of chest pains, in addition… to their assessment, current cardiac lab values are needed to evaluate if you have heart failure, had a heart attack, or within normal. Dr. Tan does not order labs or procedures unnecessarily. I received a letter over a month ago that Dr. Tan was remaining in private practice vs. MDVIP/dues.

I have been seeing Dr. Tan for 12 years and she is just amazing. She listens and really understands her patients. So glad I found her all those years ago.

Dr. Tan is a very intellegent doctor. She has done a great job of establishing rapport with me: This is not easy. Furthermore, everyone who works there goes above and beyond to make you feel valued, and they work very hard.

Absolute best doctor ever!! Dr. Tan is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to listen to all of you complaints/symptoms. Yes she is a busy doctor like everyone else and cannot spend all day with you but that is to be expected. Not sure why people think they get to spend a whole hour with a doctor. She is super smart, caring and compassionate with a great bedside manner. No comment on the staff as I make my appts through the patient portal and the staff would not deter me from seeing a great doctor anyways. She responds to emails even after hours and on weekends. I feel like she truly cares for her patients. I recommend her all the time.

Took time and was in no hurry. Very considerate and knowledgeable, clearly explained everything I needed to know. Very friendly and kind.

Dr Tan is a caring and thorough physician. She cares about her patients. Always on call when needed.

Best doctor ever!

All in all, my experience with Dr. Tan was very satisfactory. Some other physicians won't spend enough time with you or would say 'let's discuss that in your next appointment'. They have this patient portal which I use frequently because I could reach Dr. Tan quickly even weekends (no need to call & bother her staffs). Her staffs are very helpful too and return your call even though its after office hours (after 5pm). By the way, I just saw this complaint about Dr. Tan... this patient was complaining about something that Dr. Tan didn't do anything about??? I'm sorry but I'm positive Dr. Tan IS NOT like that. I've been seeing Dr. Tan for almost a year now. And I was referred by a friend of mine who loves Dr. Tan. As for medical records, if a patient asks for copy of medical records, HARD copies, YOU DEFINITELY NEED TO PAY! Nothing is free in this world. You are using their ink, papers & the time of the person who is gathering all your records. Do you think Dr. Tan got the ink & papers… for free? Do you think that person who is working on your medical records is working there for free also? Please wake up!!! I don't really need to explain this because its logic...

Worst experience ever. What a waste of time and money, we want to see the doctor for a chest pain, she ended up asking us for blood test etc, even though I had a blood test done a week before and gave her the lab result but she still asked us to do another blood test, ofcourse so we can get charged, then she gave me a caugh medication and asked me to come back and see her after a month, what the heck, what about the chest pain I had? I called and asked the office to send me my medical records to go see another doctor, and the officer manager comes back and tell me that I have to pay a fee for the inc and paper used and admin fee for them to release my medical record!!! I was like what???? How much , she was like I need 2 days to prepare the paperwork and I will tell you how much you will have to pay. I only seen this doctor once and I want my lab test and call it a day. Rip off. Worstttttt doctor I have even seen in my entire life. I don't know how this doctor passed medical and state… exam. Stay away
