Dr. Jeanmarie Householder, MD

Terrible experience, I spent 6 weeks seeing a psychologist because she told me my pain was in my head. After a 2nd opinion, a referral to a urologist, I have a mass on my bladder which is suspected endometriosis. Weird, how my very localized, acute pain didn't go away with a psychologist. I got to pay for the experience of being gaslit, belittled, laughed at and dismissed. I am grateful I decided to get a second opinion. I wonder how many other women are living in pain, because of her dismissive, disgusting attitude.

Read a rating that was unhappy with staff and wait time. I had no problems with either. Found staff to be very polite and professional. My wait time at my GP is usually longer than at Dr. Householder's office. May have just been a busy day for that person.

If you are ONLY concerned about your physician and your physician's credentials, choose Householder. In regards to her as a physician, she is smart and straight forward. However, her office staff and schedulers are THE RUDEST group of people that I have ever dealt with. 1. You WILL wait 1-2 hours past your scheduled appointment time to be seen, so I would advise taking the whole day off work if you have a scheduled visit (not cool...) 2. I am a polite person, but I ended a call with her office telling them to kick rocks and was literally crying after speaking with them. To explain, I was dealing with some health issues as well as trying to conceive. The representative that I spoke with in her office was literally yelling out my health conditions (I am assuming in the office, that is filled with people.) The Fort Smith area is small, and I was concerned that with her yelling my name and what my health problems are out loud it would be heard by someone I knew. It's my legal… right to keep those issues private, but she was making me go into deep detail (detail not needed to schedule an appointment.) The whole process was extremely uncomfortable. She treated me like I was an idiot and I ended up telling her to forget that I called and that I would just go somewhere else. Needless to say, even though Dr. Householder is great, her staff is horrible. It is not okay for a patient to have to walk away from a knowledgable physician because her staff belittles their patients and forces them to tears. It is equally important to have a friendly and helpful staff and this place, in no way shape or form, offers that.

Dr Householder has been my OBGYN for 15 years. She has delivered all 3 of my kids, gotten me through pre-cancer, horrible pregnancies, PPD/PPA, a tubal, ablation and a hysterectomy. I absolutely love her and could not imagine seeing anyone else for my female needs. I recommend her to everyone I know. She is very straight forward and blunt but that’s one of the many things I love about her. She’s definitely the best OBGYN around!!!

All my vists were outstanding and she fabulous and kind and easy to unders she took care of me during my surgery she the best so thanks

She saved my sons life and my daughter came so fast she caught her without gloves! Hands down the best Dr I've ever had!!! I will always choose her until she leaves! She's amazing and I couldn't ask for a better DR to deliver my kids! She's blunt and straight forward and tells you like it is and some people can't handle that but that's what makes her an amazing DR in my book!

When I went into labor, my ob was "out of town" and Dr Householder was the back up doctor for the night. She was so sweet and calm.

Got to appt 20 minutes early, wait was almost 2 hours. If you schedule an appt at a certain time, you shouldn't have to wait 2+ hours for appt. Unacceptable. Staff was really rude. Waiting room was dirty. I will not be going back.

I was 16 when I had my first baby. I had never had previous care before and I was absolutely terrified of what she and her staff would think of me. Well, they were everything but rude and judge mental. It took me awhile to open up I would answer her questions all the same just so I could leave! About the third app. I started to open up which aloud her. She was and is so kind hearted and truly cares about you as a patient and person not just a paycheck! She constantly made me feel good about stepping up to the plate and never ever criticized me! I've had TONS o menstrual issues and see and her staff have been so incredibly amazing! 7 years, 100+ Appointemts, 3 babies and labour complications she's still amazing! Very smart, knowledgable, caring, and genuine. She's a class act! Will NEVER(I hope not atleast) see another physician!!
