Dr. Jeannette Arlene Peterson, MD

My parents go to see Dr. Peterson and I have been in the appointments with them. We've been with her for about a year. She asks a lot of questions and will move forward based on the answers. I have read other review and agree that she does not hand out the medicine. You have to be your own advocate. I'm finding this with most of the geriatric care- my parents are 90/93. The only drawback is the follow-up visits are frequent-I'm out of the area so I have to take time off work. I may have to change doctors only because she wants to see face to face all the time. The assisted living has a doctor that visits in the facility.

This office has the most disrespectful staff that I have ever face on this earth. My family don't want to go back to this office due to the staff are lier and taking things in their own hands and cancelling an appointment, then asking for her to pay $50.00 in order to re-schedule another one. My mother is being seen there in the room and staff people knocked the door and telling doctor to hurry up next patient is waiting. "ridiculous. We will be looking for a new doctor. It's very sad Dr. Peterson's it self is  a nice doctor but her some staff is full of junk.

My husband and I have been Dr. Peterson’s patients since 2006 or so. We started when she was with a larger group and followed her to her new office when she struck out on her own. She is caring and patient and I always feel listened to. She doesn’t just hand out drugs but works to get to the root of the problem. She encourages me to keep my labs and other tests current. We have great insurance and could go with any doctor we desire. We choose Dr. Peterson.

She has a terribled bedside manner! She lacks warmth, empathy, concern. She doesnt care or even try to get to the root of the problem. She supposedly sends referrals but you dont hear back from either parties. She doesnt read your file, is unfamiliar with your conditions and is against medicine. Doesnt even offer to refill meds i been on for years. The staff is friendly but shes not ! Ive talked with others who say the same thing if not worse. I like to have a good relationship with my physician, however shes cold as ice, i need a doctor to be proactive for me. Last winter i had bronchitis, called her office for appt and was told there was like an 8 week wait and to go to emergenncy instead. I didnt but had walking pneumonia and i have a heart issue. Was very disappointed as a patient, they didnt even try to fit me in. This person shouldnt be a doctor or is burned out. She did after all take the hypocratic oath. No heart here in my opinion.

I followed Dr. Peterson from Vacaville when, thank goodness, she left another medical service. It is pretty easy to get an appointment. I have never had to wait more than 10 min. She listens, advises, will give out a sample if needed and she has one, and provides great emotional support. The only drawbacks are no labs in the building or her office and no appointments of Fridays.

Dr. Peterson is great. She is very friendly, great staff and she really takes to the time to listen to your concerns and to work with you. She is a great lady to talk to and has been very thorough, kind and knowledgeable as my physician.

Dr. Peterson is the best! She is quite thorough when answering any questions I may have. On average, my appts run about an hour and, we cover everything that's going on in my life and with my health. I recently received a letter from my healthplan and I am no longer covered to see her as of Oct. 1 st.... after many years! Grrrrrrrrr. I hate it! She is the best for me, I will really miss her and her staff.

This Dr. is always running late. (like 2 hours) She faces the cabinet she has the chart on and is looking through the chart ahile I am talking. I feel she does not give me confidence in her abilities. A time or two I've asked questions only to get an "What?" or "I'm sorry?" I'm going elsewhere!
