Dr. Jeff Jacobson, MD

I count it a privilege to be a patient of Dr. Jacobson.. Dr Jacobson has preformed two brain surgeries on me and I must say that Dr. Jacobson's level of expertise has played a huge role in my recovery... I am certainly grateful of his work.....KLWB

Dr. Jacobson is great. I like a no-nonsense discussion. He gives the facts and the probabilities in a realistic way. The surgery completely relieved my pain. But warning: MedStar is an absolute pit. They lost my films. On the day of surgery, as I lay there in a gown, both the resident and the doctor asked if I had my films, since they couldn't find them. (They never did, and went into surgery without them). After surgery, I was unable to reach the doctor for 72 hrs. No one relayed to the doctor my husband's multiple calls saying that I was having a bad reaction to the painkillers. No one from Jacobson's office provided a standard surgical follow up call. If you have a problem after surgery, you are on your own and will have to go to ER if you can't solve the problem yourself.

Dr. Jacobson is amazing, he have seen both of my parents and they both love him , unfortunately his staff is horrible. She has a terrible attitude with us both times, she pull the forms away from my dad without even asking, she just took them away of his hands. (Both of my parents speak a little bit of English only, but they do have somebody that speaks Spanish in the office they just never offer it) she was rude and totally not acceptable for being at the front desk. Horrible attitude!!!

I am a patient of Dr. Jacobson. I have no doubts that he is a superior Dr. He has met me in the OR 2 times. Never did I, or my family, have a question that was not promptly answered post surgery. I was not overdosed on medicine under his care, as I was with another surgeon,another hospital stay. I think he could be more forthcoming with my questions being asked in follow up visits. It does not matter how he stands( see other views), or what he looks like, it should only matter what he can medically do to help the patient.To date he has done that for me for 20 yrs. Thank you for that, Dr.

I went to see this recommended specialist for a second opinion. He did not read anything that I wrote on the paperwork, He kept his arms crossed and made multiple snide comments as I tried to explain why I had come. I have been a licensed physical therapist for 30 years and I was shocked by how patronizing and uncaring Dr. Jacobson was. At one point he put his feet up and said, " so you have a crappy back." I actually had that figured out without his help. This was a waste of time, money and most importantly, a disgrace to his profression.

Dr. Jacobson is down to earth and really knows how to treat his patients. He talks on your level and is compassionate. It is hard to find a male doctor who treats you like a person and actually cares for you. I had a spinal fusion done after numerous doctors turned me away. It was the best thing to have ever happened to me. I am in my mid 20's and most doctors said I was "too young" for surgery. Dr. Jacobson listened to me and did the spinal fusion at L3-L4. My pain is gone. I am able to hold and play with my children again. This man helped to give me back my life. I would highly recommend him! He is wonderful!

The doctor I saw in this group, that I really liked, had retired and I was given Dr. Jacobson. If Dr. Jacobson spent ten minutes with me I was lucky. Dr Jacobson was of little or no help. I ask for a copy of his report and was told it would be fifteen dollars. When I receive the report it was lifted word for word from the history I filled out and from the MRI report I brought with me. Dr Jacobson never discuss my history. His comment was I wouldn't do surgery. Since I wasn't there for surgery consult, that was fine with me --because I wouldn't want him to me surgeon.

My father was VERY disturbed after visiting this doctor for the first time. He was extremely rude and dismissed my father's complaint. He failed to examine the records that my parents gathered and ignored his other doctor's recommendation. He also asked if my father was on disability. How is that relevant in any way? He recommended that my father receive steroid shots in his back. My father admitted to his fear of needles and reservations due to the recent meningitis outbreak. Again, Dr. Jacobson dismissed him and proceeded with some story about one plane crashing, but others that make it to their destination safely. While in the office waiting, my parents encountered a woman who was examined by this doctor. She was nearly in tears and vowed to never return to this practice. Unfortunately, my father has undergone several back surgeries because of an old military injury. He does not like being cut on, so he would only agree to an operation because he is experiencing unbearable pain.

I had a disc pressing on my spine, and Dr. Jacobson performed my surgery. I was really messed up, could not walk, my continece was gone, I could not feel my skin, all the nerves in my body were damaged. He operated on me and I was up the next day. I now have problem with a disc pressing on my nerve in my lower back, I will have to have surgery again, and want Dr. Jacobson to perform

Had laminectomy in 2000 with Dr. Jacobson. Tethered my muscle, bone, skin and T11 nerve into one big clump of scar tissue. Did no fusion. Left my spine unstable. Needed 5 more surgeries plus metal rods to correct his destruction. Abandoned me after his disaster and wrote bogus report about my post-surgical condition. Will live with chrnic pain my entire life because of his incompetence.
