I was a patient of Dr. Sarkozi for over thirteen years and only left because I had to move away from California. He is by far the most exceptional doctor you will ever know. There is no way to describe here all of his positive merits but in all those years I would say the most valuable thing he did for me was to educate me about my illnesses and my body and by teaching me everything he could, how to be responsible for making my medical decisions after offering me all the information he could, answering all my questions and concerns, how to be an advocate for myself. He taught me to be an active partner with my doctor and take responsibility for my own outcomes, as much as possible. That education, in my opinion has saved my life in the last few years, more than once. Since I have no longer been able to see him, nor find anyone remotely like him, I have been forced to travel in the "real world" of medicine, dealing with uncaring, incautious, almost useless so-called specialists who… will maybe spend fifteen minutes every three months with me! Because he did teach me, I can at least the small time allotted to me to get answers I need and ask for what I require for treatment. If I did not do that, I might as well not see doctors at all. Dr. Sarkozi is caring, highly principled, up-to-date with his knowledge of diseases and medical treatments and medicines his patients need. He always carefully listens,takes copious notes, gives all the time one needs (thus the long waiting time that is sometimes required) and he cares about not just the diseases in which he specializes, but instead he is interested in the minds, emotional health, overall physical condition, and even what some might call the "souls" of each his patients. He takes an holistic approach (I mean he considers the "whole body", not that he uses alternative or complementary medicines! He is educated and trained in Western Medicine). You cannot possibly go wrong with Dr. Sarkozi for your medical care, and I miss him more than he will ever know.
