Dr. Jeffery Lee Rush, MD

In1982 I visited Dr. Rush in excruciating lower back pain from many years of lifting weights and competing. X-Rey’s showed degenerated sacrum, L-4,5 bulging. I begged him to do surgery and elevate the sciatica and pounding pain in my lower back through my legs. Dr. Rush gave me the best advice and treatment he thought would help me throughout my life at the young age of 21. He said I was to young and healthy for surgery and that it would eventually heal over time with proper exercise and diet. And no more heavy lifting. I was disheartened but took his advice of five epidurals over a three month period and yoga or stretching through physical therapy. It took me over a year to change my lifestyle and live almost pain free doing these things. I just wanted to say thank you Dr. Rush for your expert advice and belief that a persons damaged body will sometimes heal itself over time with proper diet and exercise.
