This man saw me back in 2021. This was by far the worst time I have ever had with an intake appointment. I was there to see him for PTSD, SA, and an eating disorder. He showed up 13 minutes late to the zoom meeting and TEXTED me that he was getting out of the SHOWER. Ate crunchy food through the entire session loudly. He showed me a picture of his daughter in the first 10 minutes stating "My daughter's a size 00 so she fit right in in Japan." No social grace for the person he was working with. Then he goes on to mention that he worked where I was going to school, but they refused to tenure him because he, "didn't play into the snowflakes." After he states that he told his students, "Eating disorders are a white girl problem." Again. Maybe read your new patient's chart at least once before you see them? Because then he went on to CONGRATULATE me on my weight loss. I will share three more quotes from this session for those reading this to decide, "is this the man I want treating my… mental health?" He stated to me he worked with domestic abuse cases and could never treat pedophiles because, "I would find it difficult to not prescribe more pain...I'd tell him to find a fence, climb up it, stand there and then jump onto it sideways and if that doesn't work, try again tomorrow." After speaking briefly on my father, "As a father of three daughters I'd love to smack your dad around but obviously I can't." And lastly, a MAJOR TRIGGER WARNING for those reading (a grace I surely wasn't provided) He spoke the words a past client told him. "She was saving herself for marriage and she was a virgin when her friend sexually assaulted her he said, "Oh you just think you don't want it, you don't know what your body wants let me show you." Jeffery Snarr should not be a counselor as he has no filter and no idea of the ramifications of his words. He is insensitive and clearly won't hesitate to tell your story to whoever he sees fit. I would not trust this man to wash my car much less help me overcome a complex mental illness he clearly doesn't understand.

I would only recommend seeing him if you’re extremely Mormon. I felt very uncomfortable taking to him due to his insistence on talking about his religion constantly. It’s fine to be passionate about your beliefs but it makes it difficult to communicate when you feel you may be judged or pressured into a religion.
