Dr. Downing delivered all three of my children and I’m so deeply thankful for his level of expertise and careful, detailed care throughout all 3 pregnancies, deliveries & my care after & yearly. Dr. Downing knew my first 2 babies were “a good size for my small frame” and when the last few weeks arrived for our 3rd baby Dr Downing gathered all facts during my weekly visit on that Monday & even though there were no signs of problems or distress at all, he firmly chose to schedule my delivery that next day! On a Tuesday, risking disrupting his entire next day, a full schedule of patients, to plan my scheduled delivery that next day! My son was born at 3:11pm & thank God he was!! At the right time!! Somehow in utero the umbilical cord had wrapped around his neck & if we had waited any longer than that Tuesday my delivery certainly may not have been the wonderful, healthy happy delivery that it was! And then just a few years later I visited for my yearly & he was soon to be on his own… medical leave when I needed my hysterectomy. And rather than suggesting that I wait until after his recovery, he knew I needed and would feel so much better to have it done sooner and without hesitation immediately recommended that I schedule surgery sooner with his trusted colleague, Dr. Lepi. Dr Downing is wonderfully experienced yet still, he actually chooses to listen to his patients because he cares. From my experiences with him I’ve seen that he is willing to put his own ego aside & listen to his patient &, I suspect, his gut, too! Dr Downing truly puts patient needs above all else. Highly recommended!

I went to Dr. Downing after I had a referral for an endometrial ablation. He was so personable and welcoming as was the whole office. I wish I had known about him during my childbearing years because I definitely would have made the 50 mile trip for such an excellent doctor.

He has been my gun for the past several years and has done a great job. We finally decided to do a hysterectomy and he did it laporscopic. I was up and out of the hospital the next day. My recovery time was shortened. He did a phenomenal job.

Dr. Downing has been my OBGYN since I was 18, I am now 32. He has delivered both my children via C-section. Both he & his staff are always there to listen & go to above & beyond my needs. I trust him with my life, since he has done a wonderful job bringing 2 beautiful lives into the world!
