J. Kirk Grynwald, M.D., specializes in surgery of the arm and hand. He earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock and completed a surgical residency at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va. He then completed hand and microsurgery fellowships with the Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Micro Surgery in Louisville and with the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia. Dr. Grynwald is board certified in general surgery. Outside of work, Dr. Grynwald enjoys cycling, especially competing in mountain biking and cyclocross events. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. When the opportunity arises, he likes to travel and experience other cultures.

Took the time to sit and talk to me and explain everything to me and in a way i could understand it.. he and the staff were all very nice.

I was a bit nervous because I've had steroid injections before and they were very painful. He assured me this one wouldn't be and he was correct. I had my grandkids with me and I told them why don't all of us look away as the doctor gives the shot. He answered YES let's all look away..... That put a smile on my face and put me at ease. Thanks Dr.Grynwald

I loved how patient he was with my issue. He didn’t just rush me, he listened to my concern and adequately addressed my pain level. I will definitely recommend.

Saw my husband to do emergency surgery on a Friday night, postponing his own out of town plans. Had him ready to travel home to south Louisiana first thing the next Monday morning. Very pleasant and extremely helpful in every way. Baptist hospital staff also went the extra mile from medical personnel to parking lot attendant. Excellent care.
