This is the best neurologist for Multiple Sclerosis (M.S.) in Miami. When I was only 22 years old, after having my son, he diagnosed me with relapsing-remitting M.S. Prior to my diagnosis, I had been misdiagnosed at Baptist as having a pinched nerve that was causing my numbness in both hands and my stomach area. I am now 51 years old (29 years with M.S.), and thanks to him, I am still able to walk. His expertise in the field of Multiple Sclerosis is truly extraordinary. My cousin, who also has Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and is confined to a wheelchair, consults another doctor for MS. She has had the condition for a significantly shorter duration compared to me. In contrast, she has experienced the condition for a significantly shorter duration compared to me. Dr. Horstmyer is the most skilled practitioner, and I am profoundly grateful for all his treatments and expertise. This doctor is one of the most arrogant doctors I have ever seen. He will not listen to you and interrupts you when you try to explain your symptoms. He completely misdiagnosed me and just wanted to push pills on me that I said I had a bad reaction to previously. This is a lazy doctor and I wouldn’t ever recommend him to anyone.

I don't know about the dr bc I couldn't even get there. I was looking for a neurologist for an MS patient ( my mother) I call and the first person that I assume is the one that takes care of the appointments (didn't ask the name bc I was really upset and I just hanged the phone) I asked of course if the dr get the pts insurance and she said no (MCD ins) and then as logical it is I asked for the choice of a self pay. After she told me that the doctor would charge me in between $400 and $600, which I personally consider that as an abuse.. taking in consideration that the average price for a neurologist consult in Miami is in between $200 and $400 I know that bc I'm a certified medical billing specialist, that lady just told me that the dr was not gonna be able to see my mom even if I pay the consult.. bc she's a MCD pt .... I mean... what?? Obviously I was willing to pay where ever ridiculously amount they ask, so my mother could have a consult and besides that they discriminated her bc… she's a MCD pt??? What kind of person is stupid enough to say that in USA is illegal to attend a MCD person that in order to see a doctor because she's sick is willing to pay the horrendous big amount this dr is asking for consul?? As a result of having an awful incompetent administrative staff the dr have lost a new pt, bc I was willing to pay where ever it takes, and a bad review.
