Dr. Jeffrey Phan, MD

Rolled his eyes at me when I asked him to put his mask over his nose. While covid numbers are climbing again. He was completely dismissive about my concerns about medication side effects. Labs confirmed there was damage. His covering MD had insisted I come in for an immediate appointment due to dangerous symptoms-- he was dismissive and condescending. I had to insist on full labs. I don't know the purpose of having NO people skills and completely lacking medical knowledge

This past winter I had an appointment with Dr Jeffrey Phan where I complained of Cold and Flu symptoms that lasted an abnormally long amount of time. Dr. Phan ignored anything and everything I had to say and released me without even performing any tests (such as listening to me breath with a stethoscope) waving off my symptoms as seasonal allergies, in the winter, because a cold can't last that long. Flash forward to today when I'm told that I still have coronavirus antibodies and I'm racking my brain trying to think back to when I exhibited any symptoms. Then I'm reminded of my visit with Dr. Phan and I remember how shortly after that my entire family came down with a cold that lasted about a month with symptoms that lingered long there after. I just want to thank Dr Phan for putting my entire families lives in jeopardy with his lack of concern and I just want to let him know he could have been one of the first doctors to treat a corona virus patient in the bay area. Lastly I just… want to send my warmest regards to your family and apologize for your callous carelessness that almost certainly endangered their lives as well.

I was rear ended by another motorist and was experiencing some back pain. The first thing he said to me was not how do you feel, but where are you going with this ?

I have never encountered such a bad physician.If you want a physician that doesn't bother to listen to your description of symptoms before coming up with a diagnosis, then by all means go to Dr. Jeffery Phan of Santa Clara Kaiser. If you want a physician that prescribes things that don't work because he diagnosed your problem incorretly, then go see Dr. Jeffery Phan.On the other hand, if you want a physician that will actually take care of you properly, do NOT go see Dr. Jeffery Phan.The only positive thing I can say is that the wait time was less than 10 minutes. Maybe that's because he has so few patients...

I told him my mother was having trouble breathing and he said wait until her next appointment which was a month away. Turns out she had fluid in her lungs and she had to be taken to the hospital. I immediately changed doctors. She had a serious problem and he didn't recognize it. It's unacceptable in my opinion.
