Dr. Jeffrey Shoji Turner, MD

I've been Dr. Turner's patient since 2015. He is brilliant, on the cutting edge and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

Of course when it comes to PCa "Do No Harm" is very difficult to follow in that there are no harm-free treatments. All the treatments for this disease involve paying some kind of price, healthwise. That said, it's comforting to have a physician who will weigh alternative treatments available for a particular condition and then select the one that is the most effective and, at the same time, will also result in the minimum amount of"collateral damage" to the patient! Dr. Turner is very approachable and a good listener.

My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer in Hawaii and we ended up flying all the way to California just to see Dr. Jeffrey Turner. He has excellent bedside manners, a wealth of knowledge and has helped our family so much. He has made sure that my dad is receiving the best care in California at UCLA and does everything he can to make sure we are comfortable, happy and fully understand the treatment process. He is always available to answer any questions! We can’t thank Dr. Turner enough and feel that if we didn’t find him, my dad’s cancer would have taken a turn for the worst. We are forever grateful to Dr. Turner and the entire staff at Prostate Oncology Specialists.

2 hour return drive from South OC, but well worth the time and effort. Very pleasant office and friendly staff. After going thru a prostatectomy 2 years ago and currently going thru salvage radiation therapy, I was extremely impressed with Dr. Turner. He is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge on PC and applying it to my personal situation, straight-forward, completely addressed all of my questions and encouraged me to email him on any additional items in the future. Dr. Turner is the quarterback I could of used 2 years ago. PC is a specialist world, my surgeon specializes in performing prostatectomys and Radiologist in directing the radiation therapy. I highly recommend Dr. Turner to be in charge of the team.

Dr. Turner is the kind of Dr. that helps you feel as if you went to school with him or knew him for a while, and his main concern is to help you get past your medical issues or at least deal with the issues and still retain a somewhat normal quality of life. I live kinda far from his office but I always look forward to meeting with him because it feels like he is "cutting edge" when it comes to prostate cancer. He will sit down with you and come up with a plan that he feels is the best for your situation! Top notch man.
