Literally so offended by her, had my prenatal care visits scheduled by her nurse four days prior to being seen again. Came in for a severe headache, was upset bc at the prenatal care check we discussed NIPS testing (never put the order in), found out at the sick appt and was annoyed by bed side manners or lack thereof. Then has nurse call me immediately following the appt and tells me she will be changing my follow ups as Dr. Biggs said for her to call me and let me know her panel is full and can NOT see new members. Which was a lie as I was looking on KP.org at the same time on my phone and she was one of the first available doctors with an OPEN panel!! Shame on them, more importantly on her.

The following is my personal opinion regarding the quality of care that I received as a patient of Dr. Jennifer Biggs, a doctor at Arlington Women's Center. I will state upfront that I am not a doctor; nevertheless, this is my personal opinion for readers to evaluate accordingly. During my pregnancy, prenatal testing revealed that I had low Papp-A, a protein indicator that signals an increased likelihood of adverse complications such as intrauterine growth restriction, preeclampsia, placental abruption, premature birth, or fetal death. At my twenty week maternal fetal medicine visit, the doctor there expressed concern about the growth of the baby. Needless to say, I was alarmed by the concerns expressed. Despite some weight gain, I elected to stop my fitness program of almost-daily five mile walks. Yet at my follow-up appointment with Dr. Biggs, Biggs did not seem to share my concerns. Instead she berated me about my weight gain and told me that, in fact, I needed to exercise… even more. When I stated that I stopped exercising because I was concerned about the growth of my baby, Dr. Biggs seemed incredulous, responding that, "the baby takes what the baby needs." When I expressed concern about the earlier finding of low Papp-A, Dr. Biggs again seemingly dismissed these concerns, responding that she sees many women with low Papp-A who go on to have healthy full term babies. When I expressed concern about a recent spike in blood pressure readings that I was taking at home, Dr. Biggs was incredulous that I was monitoring my blood pressure and argued that since the nurse recorded a relatively normal reading during my visit, there was little cause for worry. Throughout my visit, I found Dr. Bigg's manner flippant and condescending. In fact, I felt personally attacked. Moreover, in spite of several indications that, in my opinion, would have justified further inquiry, Dr. Biggs never ordered follow-up growth ultrasounds to determine if my baby was growing as it should. Well, my baby was born prematurely with intrauterine growth restriction and I believe could have very well been born stillborn except for another doctor in the practice who ordered an ultrasound to find out by baby's weight at 35 weeks. There, the ultrasound revealed that I had low amniotic fluid and that my baby was significantly underweight for its gestational age. Less than 24 hours later, I delivered by emergency C-section. In my opinion, I got lucky that my baby didn't die, but I was unlucky in that I missed several key interventions that might have helped my baby to better grow. I will never let Dr. Biggs handle another pregnancy of mine, and I regret that I allowed myself to stay under her care.

Worst. Doctor. Ever. I have never met anyone with such rude bedside manner, even at the DMV. Dr. Biggs had no smile, no interest, no kindness, and nothing but hostility. I have been exceedingly healthy, according to my previous physicians and OB/GYNs, but according to Dr. Biggs, I will have a C section unless I lose some weight. I'm supposed to go on a diet. I run at least three miles a day three to five days a week, I eat kale, broccoli, grilled chicken and salad for my meals, and snack on bananas and grapefruit with the occasional lowfat Greek yogurt. What am I doing wrong? And why has no one else but this woman told me so? I believe she must have some difficulties in her own life, because there's no justification for the way she treats her patients. Bad form, Jennifer, bad form.

Dr. Biggs delivered my twin girls in 2013 via C-section. I had seen all the Doctors of this practice- Arlington Women's Center- and I liked them all. The nurses were also friendly and I never waited long for my appointments. I did have some complications during my pregnancy and I felt very well cared for. I read the previous reviews on Dr. Biggs and I can see how she might be misinterpreted by some. She is very knowledgable and follows scientific evidence not what you may be asking for. I had this experience with her. Although I was a little taken aback at first, I realized that I'd rather have a Dr who knew her stuff than one who left me with a warm fuzzy feeling. Most importantly, she and her staff did a fantastic job with my C-section and she came regularly to follow up with me while I was recovering. She showed genuine passion for her job, staying to hold the babies much longer than I expected a busy doctor to and was very personable. During my follow up visits she asked about the… babies and took time to ask for pictures and videos. Yes, she can come across as a little cool but under it is a very caring, knowledgable Doctor. I would highly recommend her and her practice.

This was the most disinterested and rude doctor I've ever encountered. Most "lady doctors" will give you a little bit of a walk-through on what they're doing "down there" but Dr. Biggs has no time for that, apparently. She preformed the normal pap procedures but treated the appointment like I was a farm cow getting artificially inseminated. The whole appointment felt cold, harsh, and hurried. I had been considering the UID as a form of birthcontrol and had a few questions and concerns regarding health, future reproduction, etc and Dr. Biggs couldn't have cared less. She shoved me a prescription for the previous pill I was on and nearly pushed me out of the door. She acted as if the fact that I am a female, I should already know everything there is to know about my reproductive organs. I'm 24 years old and found the whole attitude offensive and appalling. Save yourself the discomfort and regret. Oh, also... I was supposed to be tested for STIs and the office called me a week later… saying my chart was mislabeled so they never preformed the tests. Cool. No, I'm not coming back there.

I was with Arlington Womens Center practice for about three years and had the same doctor during those years. When my doctor left the practice, I had to find another one and decided to see Dr. Biggs. She was in rush and haven`t even listened to the issues I was experiencing. I was 5 months pregnant and told her that my previous doctor (who I have been with for 3 years) gave me a prescription at the beginning of my pregnancy and I want to know when I should stop taking it because i feel much better now. Her reply was: "This prescrition hasn`t been proved to help with the pregnancy symptoms you have. You can stop it anytime". I was so confused and shocked! My doctor prescribed it and 3 or 4 other doctros knew I have been taking it and no one ever said anything. So I started to ask questions to clarify what she meant and she gave me the same answer: "It`s not proved. Even if you feel better, it`s not because of that medication". She than left the office abruptly and I didn`t know what to… do. So after 5-7 minutes of waiting in the room, I finally decided to ask nurse if the doctor is coming back and she said that she isn`t and I am done with my appointment. Later that day I called the practice and asked to speak to a different doctor. This different doctor said that every doctor has a different opinion and that`s why DR. Biggs said what she said (How crazy is that?!)) and I am safe with the medication and can stop taking it in a few weeks. I let it go hoping I would never see her again. About a month later my friend called the office to get a prescription and Dr. Biggs was the only one available, so she told her what she needs the prescription for making it clear that she breasfeeds. Dr. Biggs prescribed her a medication that you CANNOT take while you breastfeed ! My friend didn`t know about it and went to pick up the presciption and thanks God the pharmacist was more knowledgeble than Dr. Biggs and told her that this medication is NO-NO while you breasfeed. Very upseting! Would never recommend her to anyone!
