Dr. Jennifer Elizabeth Iacovelli, MD

If you’re looking for a compassionate and caring doctor, keep looking. Dr Jennifer Iacovelli is kind of a bully. From the messages let on her office door, front desk or voice mail you get an unwelcome feeling. I should have gone with my gut and turned around. On my first visit I walked into her yelling at a patient that walked in. Dr Iacovelli was screaming “I don’t take walk ins you need to call and make an appointment. “The poor lady was trying to explain she had called several times but nobody returns her calls. Come to find out Dr Iacovelli has no staff….none. She handles everything herself. My opinion from being under her care for 2 and half yrs is nobody can work with her cause of her unprofessional attitude, coldness and her rudeness. My breaking point was more than once and more than twice my appointments by zoom were a no show by Dr Iacovelli. She would send emails to get your payment before your appointment but never the zoom link. If you call to ask for your link there is… nobody to answer your call. I did get lucky a couple of times when she did answer. This last time I called the Friday before my appointment to get link. No answer but I left a message. Day of appointment on Monday still no link. I called left message that morning and then again at noon. No return call and no email with link not even in my junk mail. 4pm at my appointment time I called again no answer. Still no link. After an hour waiting I called again and left yet another message. I also went to the patient portal and left a message. I woke the next morning with an email saying I missed my appointment to please call the office to reschedule. Again I call and leave ANOTHER MESSAGE. I check the portal and I have a message from Dr Iacovelli telling me it is my responsibility to make sure I get the link and it would be a $50 rescheduling fee after I already paid $125 in advance for the appointment. I responded back in portal questioning the charge and explaining the times I had called and copies of my phone log. I said I would like to reschedule (cause I need my prescriptions refilled) but I wasn’t going to pay the $50 cause I was being responsible for my appointment. I said if this couldn’t be arranged please refund my payment. Next morning Dr Iacovelli responds with one sentence “Refunding your payment right now” Just another example of her unprofessional attitude and willing to take responsibility for HER mistakes. Don’t not waste your time or money on this Dr. you deserve the best care with a caring physician.

Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!! I have been going to this place for years and today I literally was refused to be seen for walking in at 11:21 (thinking my appointment was 11:30) but I guess it was 11:20 and I needed to “check in” at 11:10. So I politely asked to come back later for my original apt at 4:30pm she said sorry that is already filled (I’m sorry what?!) I wish I could charge this dr every time you she was EXTREMELY late for my appointments, your time is NOT more valuable than mine. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for how you treated me today! I will tell everyone I know to NEVER go to this doctors office!!!

I met with Dr. Iacovelli in Sept. 2017, and she prescribed me T3 medication for improving my thyroid function. I have been on Synthroid for over 20 years, and my levels have been normal! I was visiting her for hormone treatment and not thyroid treatment yet she gave me a prescription that would have MESSED up my thyroid levels completely! My mother went and saw her in Nov. 2017, and she also prescribed her T3 medication and she decided not to take it because this would have caused her thyroid levels to go completely out of whack, and she is sensitive to her levels being out. Finally, my colleague who has RA was given Synthroid for "preventative" measures when her thyroid levels were normal! It caused her RA to flare up severely were she could not even walk! She is not an Endocrinologist and is not qualified to prescribe Synthroid to patients who have NORMAL thyroid levels. Hyperthyroidism has many complicated side effects!

This doctor posted condescending and personal private info about a patient on a google review. That alone made me cancel my appointment. Scary.

She takes her time with each patient and she listens to your issues.

She claimed to be a "hormone expert" and when going through my lab work, claimed that my values that were technically "within normal limits" was really low for normal, and she put me on thyroid and testosterone medication. I was asymptomatic and she pushed these meds on me, all of which need close monitoring, resulting in numerous additional office visits and blood draws. I would never recommend this physician.

I love her. She is the only doctor and I've gone to 5. She is the only doctor that will treat my hormones and my thyroid. I am a breast cancer survivor and I am not permitted to have any estrogen. And she is the only doctor that is comfortable helping me. She has helped my horrendous hot flashes subside about 90%. I'd also like to add that since I have been seeing her my cancer markers have leveled out and dropped. They had been climbing for 18 months.

I have been struggling with thyroid and hormone issues for quite a while. I have been blown off by a lot of other doctors. This is the FIRST person who LISTENED to what I had to say AND had some good recommendations. She started me on medication and I have been feeling better and better each week that goes by! She has made me feel like my old self again. I have been depressed because I couldn't imagine feeling this bad for the rest of my life. I am only in my mid 40's. Not feeling good has made me very emotional and has been disruptive in almost every aspect of my life. My husband and kids have been great putting up with me, but even they have realized a huge improvement on how I act and feel. Thank you Dr I, you gave me back my life. My family thanks you too. I will send all my friends and family your way.

Wonderful atmosphere Tech's Techs are great Dr iacovelli comes in, states her name (as does everyone), looks u in the eyes, and listens! Then and only then does she ask questions and begins to explain possibilities Best Dr experience ever

I absolutely love this doctor. After being pushed off by 5 other doctors who swore I was healthy, I saw Dr. Iacovelli. She was the first doctor who listened, found the problem, and fixed me! I love love love her.
