Dr. Jennifer Murray, MD

I’ve been with Dr. Jennifer Murray for over 10 years now, and obviously, if I wasn’t happy with her professional work, I would have gone elsewhere by now; but I am happy with this hard working, professional & very intelligent, but kind Doctor. She has not had a total day off, I believe, for six years now. The majority of her Patients, I believe, are very happy with her. In general, wait time is, as expected, and once in a while, there is a bit longer than expected, if there is an emergency appointment that has to be fit in, the wait will be a few minutes longer. Anyone who has ever had an emergency themselves, and needs to see the Dr., will certainly understand the element of extra time needed.

I've always had good service from this department. The staff is knowledgeable and cordial and takes time to explain things.

Dr. Murray is professional and no nonsense. All was explained and expectations met. Happy with result.

I am a medical provider and needed to find a provider after moving to Florida. So grateful to find Dr.Murray. I have an extremely complicated eye history and trust her completely. She is not the warm and fuzzy type, but I'm looking for most competent. But she still has a great bedside manner and explains everything. Thrilled to have found her.

If you value your eyesight, do NOT let Dr. Murray near your eyes. My husband had a cornea transplant a few years ago with another doctor in another city, and within two months he had 20/20 vision in that eye. Since we moved to Florida he had to find another doctor to do the second eye, and he somehow chose Dr. Murray. After the surgery he couldn't see as well as before. She kept him coming back month after month for appointments for over a year and just kept "checking" but didn't do anything to correct the problem. We live in Destin, and he was driving for over an hour to get to her office so it wasn't convenient. Once she had him come into the office to tell him that they had new equipment, but they didn't know how to use it until they got training from the salesperson so they would have to reschedule him for another day. They could have told him that on the phone and saved about 3 hours of driving. She kept saying that if the surgery didn't work, she would re-do it. But she… never did. She just kept checking and checking. After a year he just stopped going to appointments. When he went to get glasses the opthalmologist said he has astigmatism so bad that his vision cannot be corrected with glasses, and he said it WAS CAUSED BY THE SURGERY. There MUST be a better doctor in the area.

Dr. Murray is a very skilled and knowledgeable ophthalmologist. She removed cataracts fro both my eyes. She made me feel at ease from the first visit about my pending surgery. She called me personally several hours after the surgery to follow up as to how I was feeling. Very friendly and professional staff. I would recommend her to anyone needing eye surgery.
