After my long time physician moved back east I had to find another doctor. I stayed at the same clinic for far too long. By no fault of my own I ended up with 3 or possibly 4 different doctors until I got fed up. Dr. Petrie listens to me, makes suggestions and has provided me with excellent care. She doesn't have the "God complex" like too many physicians do.

God gives us all talents that we don't often recognize. She did -- she's the best doctor both my husband and myself have had, and we're seniors. Sometimes she's uncanny, you can tell her just one or two symtoms and POP, she knows the answer, & lets you know how to correct it, often times with diet or OTC remedies. And she will actually, truly listen to you. She works WITH you, not as a self-proclaimed Doctor god, but as an authentic, caring medical doctor - friend. When you say you had a reaction to a med, she LISTENS to you, and fixes it. I love her because I'll have the surgery or med already picked out that I want, and she'll kindly tell me No, that has side affects, or doesn't work as well and so on. She's the smartest medical person we've ever, ever had the privilege of being a patient to. ----I can't get over that she LISTENS to you, then is honest with her answer. Saying Yes to your ideas, No when it's appropriate.
