Dr. Jennifer Helene Smith, MD

My first visit with her was great. She did her research on my file before I got there and had solutions in place to help with my awful pms and heavy bleeding. She took her time and followed up with me the day after I had a procedure done. I was very relieved and have been doing great. I even have my oldest daughter going to her as well.

I have been going to Dr. Smith for 10 years now. She is great in explaining things, super nice and makes you very comfortable. She delivered my first child and did my d&c when I had my miscarriage with my second child. Since my miscarriage I have had a lot of questions about things, she calls me back every time...even if it's after hours. She is great and would never even think about switching.

Your first pregnancy is a big deal. Dr. Smith rushed through our appointments. She was not very pleasant. I should have found someone's else to care for me & my unborn child.

I also was rushed thought appointments. It was my 1st pregnancy & I didn't know much & had a lot of questions. Times when I felt she had time to answer my Q's she was quick to chuckle at things I asked & give me a know it all, snarky answer. She was just cold. I never saw her at the hospital & she did not give birth to my child. I regret using her. I should have listened to my got. Poor judgment on my end.

I switched to this practice during my first pregnancy because my previous doctor had ridiculous wait times and awful staff that was downright rude to patients. I originally saw a different doctor in Jennifer's practice - he was okay, but I really loved the office staff and nurses (especially Toni). Jennifer ended up delivering my first baby, and I started seeing her regularly thereafter. She is very down-to-earth... not pushy, but definitely has opinions and suggestions when you need/want them. This office keeps appointments running on time, they are friendly and courteous, call you back when they say they will and they show genuine concern for your well-being.

Dr. Smith has been my doctor for quite a few years now. She did my hysterectomy in 2006 after trying other less invasive remedies first, and I recovered so quickly with just an overnight hospital stay. She did a great job and has a great bedside manner, easing all of my concerns. She was also willing to do a partial hysterectomy upon my request and discussed the differences and benefits of a partial hysterectomy vs. a full hysterectomy. You can place your complete trust in Dr. Smith.

Dr. Smith is calm and thorough. Very helpful and explained things well. Promptly called with my lab results.

Having just moved to St. Louis I was worried about finding the right doctor to deliver my first child with. Dr. Smith was perfect. I don't give my seal of approval to just anyone either. All my questions were answered and the big day went so smooth. She is a great partner to have at such an important moment in your life.

Dr. Smith has been my doctor for the past six plus years. She delivered my two children and was wonderful throughout both pregnancies and deliveries. During my prenatal visits she spent ample time with me, always answering all of my questions. One of my births ended up being quite complex and Dr. Smith handled my complication with calm expertise. I could not recommend her more highly.

I would not return to this doctor. I heard so many great reviews about her but found that she was unwilling to spend any time with us during any of our check-ups while I was pregnant. Instead she rushed us through, spent less then 5 minutes each time, never bothered to explain anything that was going on or take my requests or questions into consideration, and we barely saw her at the hospital. I have no plans to use her again.
