Dr Jennifer Lynn Solomon

Dr. Solomon is excellent. I see there are reviews about her being "abrupt" or "rude". I actually think people confuse this with her actually being very direct and honest. I have seen her many times (as has my husband) and we think she is excellent! Highly recommend seeing here.

To the prior 2 reviewers I was first impressed by the honesty of Dr. Solomon’s website which I carefully read during my research. They are very straightforward that the injections are both very expensive and do NOT always work, implying, that despite their experience, intellect and judgement, stuff can still go wrong. I think younger dr’s expect their patients to read their website or get some education on the field of stem cell therapy. And they along with some others do a great job of contextualizing the technology. So that your injection didn’t work is on you - From everything I read, there are maladies that have better success than others. And the story about the physical therapist? Awesome story, but I don’t believe it. Dr. Solomon is hardly rude or brusque. But nor is she obsequious. And perhaps that is the behavior you have gotten used to? I thought she was thorough and straightforward with a wonderful dry sense of humor. She is ‘straight with you.’ And my… being pretty ignorant about regenerative medicine did not try her patience even the slightest. She’s direct and her edges are smooth if you value smart & honest above all other varying characteristics. Ya’ll need to read their website. It’s one huge disclaimer with enough successes to inspire hopefulness - really now, read. It’s an incredible technology that will only get better. For some applications it might be more cutting edge than others so I believe a big chunk of the information gathering is on us, the patient. It is our responsibility to garner a solid understanding of the context in which our malady falls. Where it lands on the frontiers of science and medicine. And if we can’t do this by ourselves, then we hire a personal medical advocate to translate for us.

I'm relieved to read that her rudeness and arrogance wasn't just my own experience. She was so confident in her diagnosis of me, sent me to physical therapy, and then my PT mentioned that she thought it might also be a different problem than what Solomon had said (hip problem). I relayed that back to her at my next visit, and I guess that really offended her, because told me immediately huffy with me, said she was going to have a word with the PT, and insisted I go elsewhere to a therapist she trusted. I had been feeling a bit better with my PT, but figured maybe she knew better since she's the doc. But when I went to her recommended PT - I guess someone who does only exactly what they're told - I didn't get any better and my hip problem started coming back. When I suggested that I thought maybe the 1st PT had been onto something, she totally dismissed me, like I didn't know what my own pain felt like. Eventually I decided to go find a different PT on my own, and the 3rd one ended up… agreeing that the 1st one was right, and I got better under the correct approach. Much later I emailed my 1st PT just to give her the update, and she told me that Dr. Solomon has called her up and basically yelled at her, even saying something like "How dare you change my diagnosis?" and the later just hung up on her. It makes me cringe to think she would be that rude to anyone, much less another health care provider. Unclear to me why she would become a doctor if she doesn't care about people, helping them, or supporting other providers to take care of her patients. I'll never go back to her knowing that she was wrong AND rude about being wrong. Also, she seems to just force you to come back in to see her for the quick 2 seconds just so she can bill for the visit, under the pretense of wanting to "check up" to see how you're doing, but she never examined me! Just asked a few quick questions and then was out the door... all just so she can make hundreds of dollars and let you continue seeing another provider who *actually* treats your pain. Bottom line, I wouldn't trust her with a 10-foot pole bc her delicate but massive ego really stands in the way of being a halfway decent doc.

I agree with the other reviewers. Dr. Solomon is brusque and does not take much time to carefully answer questions. I work in interventional radiology so I am quite familiar with these types of procedures, as well as their low rate of success. Dr. Solomon assured me she would not recommend an injection unless she felt it had a very high rate of success. She seemed very confident--so I am trusted. Unfortunately, the injection was not successful. Even more unfortunate--the office did not make it clear that there would be 2 bills (one from the hospital and one from Dr. Solomon). Ultimately, this is my fault for not calling the office to confirm the procedure codes; however, I do believe the hospital should readily provide that information at the time of the appointment. Now, I have to pay $1000 out of pocket for a procedure that was ineffective. I will not return to this practitioner and would not recommend. *If you do decide to proceed with an injection, be sure to call the office… and ask for the procedure codes so that you can verify your out of pocket costs with your insurance company. The office manager at Dr. Solomon's office informed that they only provide them at patient request.

Reading the reviews, I see over and over— rude, dismissive, doesn’t listen, has one foot out the door. This is exactly my experience. I have never encountered such brusque, arrogant behavior. I think she has some technical knowledge. But her lack of interest, her rigid manner and her rudeness... words fail me.

She's knowledgeable, but has a very specific point of view about how the world works, and doesn't want to have a dialogue. She's not interested in listening. It's her way, period. She has an abrupt and terrible bedside manner.

I saw Dr. Solomon today for the first time and found her friendly, kind, and even a bit funny. She is clearly an excellent diagnostician and I will return for a followup.

dr Solomon didn’t listen to my needs at all, following her advice led me to further injury, and she was clearly fixated on some old drama with my physical therapy practice. she yelled at me to the point that I cried. also, her team was ill prepared to treat, let alone interact with an actual trans person

The nastiest doctor I have ever encountered.

Dr. Solomon didn't spend much time with me, but she did give an accurate diagnosis for my upper and lower back pain. She also directed me to an excellent physical therapist. Although better bedside manner would be ideal I don't mind putting that aside for a quick in and out no nonsense appt.
