Dr. Jerry Allen Wittingen, MD

Just turned 90 years old and I was patient there for many years. He put me on HRT for years and credit this for my good health.

Id like to let women know that Dr. W IS FINE UNLESS SOMETHING GOES WRONG That was my experince after being his patient for 5 years. I bled out due to an error Dr.W made not only did he not take responsibility. He denied the mistake in front of the board he was required to go in front of because this turned into quite a big ordeal. He was reprimanded and atill wouldn't even come to talk to me to explain what happend during surgery. He hid from my family as I was in critical care. He never even came to apologise He was like a kid that was literally hiding from my family we needed answers desperately. He would only say he did NOTHING wrong as I bled out and needed 12 transfusions because of his mistake I ended up being hospitalized 45 days in total. He also left in a bad ovary ( neucrotic) leaving me with a fever of 105 he never even thought to have things checked out because he knew that was also mistake # 2 I ended up needing emergency surgery again due to his initial surgery . A… year later I'm still in terrible pain because I'm STILL bleeding internally having to still have a drain a year after the surgery ( that he did nothing wrong. So now I need yet surgery # 3 again trying to correct the mistakes he denies making . Of course I had Amazing .Experienced very well respected surgeons who literally saved my life 2 more times after the mistakes he denied making even after it was pointed out to him by several doctors. Dr. Jerry Wittingen still would not take responsibility for 3 BIG medical mistakes that all could've and were nearly fatal I was 32 yrs old with 4 young children when this happend. I still have trouble with Traumatic memories as do 2 of my children to this day. I've never been completely pain free in the area and worst of all I called to ask him 4 yrs after the surgeries just to explain what went wrong.I couldn't believe he would just lie about everything . Well he.did lie and actually hung up on me and refused to explain because he was so worried I was going to go to an attorney 4 yrs after. I was in no condition mentally to fight and I think he knew that but to this day . He has never even acknowledged the several mistakes he made but the BIG 3 that could've and nearly were fatal. I just needed to trust that my Dr. Would stand behind me if things went bad durring surgery. They did go very bad and he just left me. I cant imagine what he'd do in a crisis again but I hope that never happens. That is why I'm sharing this story. Please make sure he's reading your chart thoroughly before surgery or before big decisons. I learned the hard way that the title M.D. does not mean trustworthy, or responsible or ethical. I had no idea before all of this. Now I make sure my Dr. Cares enough to explain everything and I listen closely. I hope you all do the same.

Doctor is very thorough. Been going to him for a few years. Not the most hospitable staff, but not rude either. They get you in and out.

Dr Wittingen is very patient. I feel safe in his care and although he doesnt really seem to be overly talkative, he does listen and hears what youre concerns are. No complaints!
