Dr. Jesse Y. Dabit, MD

Very thorough and skilled doctor. Listened to me and explained my diagnosis in detail and the plan of care moving forward. Previous ratings on this website do not judge his skills or abilities. Those were from patients that the doctor did not even see as you can read from the comments. I felt compelled to write this review as he is worthy of a 5 star evaluation.

I will relay my experience with Dr. Dabit and you can make your own judgement. I had to wait months to get an appointment with him. I live over 45 minutes away and work full time so had to arrange my schedule to be free. There was a minor fender bender in front of me in my way to the office -which I told them about when I got there. I stopped to make sure all were ok, resulting in me being, according to my watch, nine minutes late for my 10:30 AM appointment. When I walked in, the receptionist was on the phone and did not look up. I waited patiently. An elderly woman walked in, and I let her go up to the desk to check in before me. When it was my turn to check in, the receptionist told me I was late, and he had to ask Dr. Dabit if he would see me. He returned moments later, telling me that Dr. Dabit would not see me today because I was late. And that I needed to reschedule. I said “for being a few minutes late?” And he told me I was exactly 11 minutes late which is one minute past… their cutoff time. I said I beg to differ I was less than 10 minutes late and you did not look up when I came in because you were on the phone. He did offer me a date of January 2 which I could not accept because my son had an appointment with a doctor we also waited months to see on the same day and time. The next available appt was again months away. I told them I would find another rheumatologist. . I also work in a field where my time is very limited, and I have many calls, conferences, and meetings. I respect others’’ time but that should be mutual.I wasted almost 2 hours with travel that day.

Most unprofessional medical practice I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with. Had an appointment scheduled for 12/26 which was cancelled day of since the doctor didn’t show up. Save the time and hassle and go to a doctor that will actually keep their appointments and commitments.
