Dr. Jessica Arias Garau, MD

The first thing I was greeted with in Dr. Arias’ office was that she does not dispense medication. I have had 12 spinal surgeries in my life and wand was there for a serious situation. I am from another state and she was referred by a Dr. who was referred to me by Holy Cross, but who did not work with spines. Consequently I was flying by the seat of my pants. I had no intention on asking for medication and was HIGHLY insulted by this first comment by the nurse, who also apparently needs some form of mental therapy. Dr. arias was thorough, although her personality leaves much to be desired. She told me I was to have an MRI of the spine, but when I received the prescription from the nurse, it said CT scan, I thought perhaps she had made a mistake and when I said this to the nurse, she exploded. I phoned my Dr. in my home state, who has cared for me for 3O years and read him the prescription. He questioned the way it was written and was surprised that she wrote one thing when… she told me another. He suggested I call her and verify that was what she meant.I believe it was the same nurse, and she explained that the change was correct. When I asked why the Dr. would do that with no explanation, she exploded and said “ I don’t need this first thing in the morning”. Well, Dr. Arias, I don’t need you or your lousy practice. Perhaps when she ages, she will understand that direct communication with the patient is as important as her little computer. And then, maybe, she will have her nurses take a mental exam.

I'VE BEEN SEEING DR. ARIAS FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS AND FIND HER TO BE PATIENT, CARING, AND VERY PROFESSIONAL.

I think Dr. Arias was very professional, well prepared and most of all, caring. I've had several procedures with her and her skills are amazing. I felt very comfortable, staff was great and I am pain free. I strongly recommend her.

Dr. Arias is a wonderful doctor. She takes time with her patients and explains things very well unlike other doctors I have seen. She is the sweetest and most caring doctor I have ever met with. People who have wrote nasty reviews obviously did not get what they wanted and are bitter. I would recommend her over and over again!!!

I would not recommend visiting Dr. Arias. I found another pain management Dr and am much happier. I was left waiting over 40 minutes before she entered the room. She has an arrogance about her. I've visited this practice in the past and loved the doctors. It's a shame she is still with the practice.

Would not go back taking my business else where. Terrible attitude and bedside manner.
