Dr. Jessica A Shepherd, MD

I first encountered Shepherd 4 days after my wife and I had been admitted for the birth of my son. What should have been a momentous occasion was overshadowed by a glucose issue and subsequent NICU visit. When Shepherd finally came around, 4 days after admittance, she showed up in athleisure wear and Nikes. No badge. No identification, and nothing that associated her with Baylor. However, she reiterated numerous times that she "was in charge". She badgered my wife, making small her report and list of symptoms, constantly protecting herself and the hospital. (My wife has since pursued assistance from another doctor as her issue persists). Watching my wife fight back tears and attempt to answer contradictory questions was nauseating. Once we were finally released I took my wife home only to discover that Shepherd had neglected to submit prescription requests contradicting what she had told us. We contacted her immediately and she attempted to shift blame even though every local pharmacy… had closed hours prior. While Shepherd might be a skilled doctor, her people/patient skills completely fail her.

Traumatizing

She's one of the best physicians that I have had the chance to meet. She's very passionate about women's health as a whole. She makes you feel very comfortable. She's also very knowledgeable about women's health. I feel very privileged to have her as my doctor.

Dr Shepherd really knows her stuff! She's friendly, answers all of your questions and is very detailed when answering your questions. She recently preformed my hysterectomy and I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend her!

Dr. Shepherd made me feel right at home. She's knowleable and friendly. Not at all aloof like many physicians. She provided lots of information about my concerns and had practicle advise on addressing them. I like her a lot!

Shameful. I think your practice is based on money you have received from pharmaceutical companies.
