Dr. Joan Shari Haselkorn, MD

Dr Haselkorn is a great doctor and very gentle. The staff is extremely incompetent. I’ve tried getting my test results and records for three weeks, only to give me all kinds of excuses as to why they don’t know where the chart is. I needed my medical records since I moved out of state. They kept promising to call me back, but never did. Needless to say, I never Received my results or medical records.

I waited two hours before being seen by Dr. Haselkorn. This doctor is so overbooked. I made an appointment with the office staff but if you go onto ZocDoc, you will note that appointments for the following day are available every 15 minutes. My visit lasted 10 minutes! My first visit resulted in a billing error. When I called to tell them that the claim was sent to the wrong insurance carrier, the response was that they pressed the wrong key on the computer. Then the claim was sent to the correct insurance carrier, 18 months after my visit date. I will not be returning to this doctor!

If you want to wait in the reception area for over an hour to be seen for 10 minutes to be charged $900 and to be treated poorly when asking about billing, go here!

I am sure Dr. Haselkorn is a very competent doctor but she focuses on Quanity not Quality. She offers an evening appointment and the wait time is at least 3 hours to be seen. She is so overbooked that when you go, she has no time to sit with you and find out what you need and mistakes are made. I felt it was an assembly line of patients. She didn't even have it noted in my files when I was there last that I was using steroid cream from her for a serious skin condition. I had to show her and then scolded me for not using it properly. I might have had she had the time the previous appointment to write it down. Zero compassion or personality. They could not find my file. Asked me if I was a new patient. That was the cherry. You Can NEVER call the office or leave a message because the lines are full or keep ringing. Really frightening if you were dealing with ovarian cancer. I went back to my old doctor even though his appointments are not late. So worth it. I went from 1 to… 10 plus! with the change back to my doctor. Don't bother. I left in tears.

The waiting time might be excessive but Dr. Haselkorn is the best!! She is thorough, skilled and held my hand through a difficult moment in my life.

Don't appreciate waiting over an hour to get into my appointed time. Office should contact you if she is running this late so you can adjust your schedule.

DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR!!! BIG WASTE OF TIME!! She is extremely cold, rude, and incompetent. Her office staff is extremely disorganized and make up lies. They didn't apologize for making me wait almost an hour and a half. Dr. Haselkorn herself was extremely unpleasant and condescending. She made it clear that she did not want me in her office, and rushed through my appointment. In fact, she was in such rush (or perhaps oblivious?) that she completely gave me the wrong instructions for my medication. I realized her error as I walked out of the office, and had to question the mistake when I walked back in. She then unapologetically corrected herself and rushed me back out, after making me sit through another loooong wait. Big tip- see someone else!

i used to think dr haselkorn was a good dr. however her practice is too big , she is always in a rush and she is always late . you have to plan to sit there for at least 2 hours , if not more . Her staff are all extremely rude .

After putting up with years of waiting up to 2 hours to see the doctor I have decided to switch doctors. Dr. H has no bed side manner. She called me SEVEN weeks after my appointment with test results . She called right before leaving the office with no way to reach her. After calling her for 2 days trying to get in touch and hear my results she still continued to push my phone call to the side. I waited four days before deciding to go down to the practice and hear my results. I waited over 2 hours to finally speak with her and her consultation with me took 30 seconds. After days of nervousness and anxiety she told me everything was fine. I have had it and explained that calling with news and then refusing to return phone calls for days can lead to patients worrying. I am switching doctors immediately. Her office staff spends more time arguing with each other then taking time to make appointments. It is completely unprofessional

I switched to Dr. Haselkorn from Obstetrical and Gynecological Services of Rockville Centre, hoping for a better experience after a year of a nightmare with them. My first visit was great with Dr. H and I was able to make an appt very quickly, but it has been all downhill from there. The staff is rude and condescending. I ran out of refills a week before my last annual and had to call the office 8 times over 4 days to get someone to help me get just 1 refill of birth control. I kept being told to make an appointment and when I said I had one booked they told me they'd leave a note. On the 4th day I called, was very upset almost crying, and was told to "not be fresh". I'm 23, not 5, and either way that is inappropriate to say to a patient, but I finally got a refill. The next week I went to my appointment and waited an hour in the waiting room, a half hour in the private room and when I finally saw the doctor, she was in and out in 10 minutes (that's being generous). I told her about… the incident and she blamed it on a bad day and short staff. I also asked her about a health concern and she answered me while walking out the door in a few short words. When I went up to make my next appointment I didn't answer quick enough and they told me to just call back when I get a chance. And I will be calling back, to get my file sent to the next doctor. Dr. H is very sweet and I'm sure she is a fine doctor, but after waiting well over an hour, I expect to be given at least 15 minutes of complete dedication. As a patient, I do not deserve to be treated with a nasty attitude from the staff and a bums rush from health care provider. Dr. H is understaffed, there are no nurses to talk to over the phone who can help with scripts or concerns, and has WAY too many patients. I will be finding someone else. I recommend you do the same as she is not worth the time and frustration.
