Dr. Joanne Swift, MD

This was my first visit. She made me uncomfortable asking questions and I felt rushed. Will be looking for a different GYN. So disappointed.

Dr. Swift is very friendly, kind, and knowledgeable. I am very comfortable seeing her. :)

Unfriendly rude and very unprofessional Doctor I've ever seen!

Dr. Swift needs serious bedside manner training. It was horrid.

Horrible bedside manner didn't listen to me at all would never see her again

We have been delighted by the staff at Garden State OBGYN. I've been going there for 15 years so it was an obvious choice when having my first baby. Dr. Swift was cordial at first, but rushed us through our appointment and when my husband asked her a serious question, she answered him in a condescending way like he was a child. She didn't go over the information we had been promised at the appointment (approx. baby weight) and she didn't do any kind of exam but then refused to discuss maternity leave with me and left the room almost annoyed that I asked her about it before I could go over my list of concerns. Hormones got the best of me and I left the office in hysterics while my husband was red with rage. We ended up calling and speaking to a different doctor within the practice to get the information we needed and we refuse to see Dr. Swift again. She acted like we should know all of the answers to our questions, made us feel bad for asking them and somehow she forgets that pregnant… women can be pretty emotionally delicate. It was a terrible, terrible experience. I hope it doesn't happen to other pregnant women but I imagine it will. I would recommend calling a doctor you trust in this practice if she gives you the old Swift screw. They call you back when you leave a message and don't rush you on the phone. I love Garden State, but I feel Dr. Swift may be a weak chain in the system.
