Dr. Joe Allen Owens, MD

Dr. Owens treats myself, my husband, my mother and a lot of my friends. He is an excellent physician who stays current with medical treatment and science. Best of all he is very common sense. I never get the feeling that I am being rushed. He doesn't order unnecessary tests. He always puts the patient first. He graduated from prestigious Southwestern Medical School.

This man should not be practicing. He is heartless, and is a doubletalker. At first he seems okay, but the more we listened the more dangerous it became apparent that he is. Worst physician experience of my life. He says one thing & does another. He changes his diagnosis & treatment missteam without informing anyone.

Beware of this so called doctor. I'm unsure how he obtained a license to practice. He is a double talking narcissistic blow hard! He tries to talk above you & then is patronizing. If you enjoy wasting your time & risking your health, make him your doctor.

Overall not a bad doctor. Needs to follow-up with patients. Needs to let them know if labs should be done BEFORE a visit rather than sending them after the fact.

Top Notch Doctor

I found Dr. Owens to be professional, courteous, and helpful. He explained things in a way that anyone would be able to understand. He was very knowledgeable regarding my chronic disease. I would recommend him.

He's the worst person in medicine! Awful is the only word to describe this being.

I went to this doctor with high expectations. Seconds after he walked into the room without acknowledging me, it was clear what kind of doctor he is. He is the arrogant, rude, insensitive type of doctor that walks around with a chip on his shoulder. If you suggest anything to him, he is put off by your suggestions and will not allow you to talk. He will talk over you to the point that you leave his office finding that you didn't address any of the issues you went in for. He is very Big on getting his referrals in obviously for some kind of benefit with other providers by referrals. He requires that his office make your appointments with his preferred doctors and leads you to believe that you don't have an option. I would stay away if you want good, honest health care.

Dr. Owens is insensitive and does not know how to deal with patients. He expected my mom to go to a sr. living facility days after we had buried my dad. He did not even consider that my mom and I were griefing, he was only listening to what others had said. I would not recommend anyone to go to Dr. Owens.

Dr. Owens has been my physician for the last four years. I credit him for saving my life during several severe medical problems resulting from poor quality medical practices at a locl hospital. He is very thorough is his medical practice and has a thoughtful and caring staff. I reccomend him highly.
