Dr. Joel Lawrence Fine, MD

Dismissive, Condescending, Rude are the first things that come to mind. I saw him today because he is temporary after my doctor retired but now I wished I had checked the reviews about him before I went. I would have cancelled my appointment. An hour waiting for him to come in and I get talked down to, belittled and felt far worse emotionally than I did physically when I left that office. I don't know if he treats all women this way because the whole visit was horrible - Never ever have I had a doctor treat me this way - I actually walked out.

After waiting 1.5 hours, I left knowing I would never be back. He jokingly made derogatory, sexist comments to me about not having a brain. He told me running at 40 “is bad” for me. He mocked my desire to have a colonoscopy and sleep study done at my age. I was there for an annual physical and he told me “don’t get fat.” I am very covid-conscious and fully vaccinated and he spoke to me like I’m dumb. No thanks.

He was in too much of a hurry to go home. He took my history for paperwork, and that was that. Made some offhand comments too. It was a waste of time.

I went to see this terrible doctor in Franklin, TN for help with a condition I have that is worsening. My arms specifically have large growths under the skin that concern me. I also needed referrals to another doctor that I KNOW helps diagnose this disease. To begin, he did not knoe what this disease was. I had printed out a page with quick information to help educate him, and he refused to take it, and said the disease sounds made up. He then told me I probably have horrible cholesterol because I choose to eat a healthy low carb diet. He assumed I eat nothing but bacon and told me to stop eating low carb and to eat healthy. I have lymphedema and low carb is ESSENTIAL for me. He is so uneducated and misinformed, it's scary to know that he is a practicing physician working with people. He never once looked at my arms. He told me I probably just have fibromyalgia and there was a certain pain clinic I could go to. He then got up walked out, and told me the exit to the lobby was to the… right. It has been a very long time since I have been treated so dismissively, and like I mean absolutely nothing, by a doctor. But he made me feel that and more. I will never go back to him, and I suggest no one else go either. Even his nurse was horrible!!!

Dr. Fine is more than doctor he is your best friend he is your brother and father and tells you when you're wrong because he cares about your health he is a person there for me touches my heart he helped me a lot with my sickness which is diabetes I remember one time did I win call I'll come back in for a while he told me he was worried sick about me that he couldn't even sleep right so he is an angel and he is here to help us get better with our health me and my family want to thank you very much doctor Joel l fine thank you my friend God bless

Best doctor in Snellville, GA. Dr. Fine was my doctor for over 10yrs. Always kind, very thorough, and detailed exams. He gave it to you straight (no chaser), the good, bad, and in between. I liked the truth and hard facts, and that's what he dealt. Above all, he really cared about his patients. Miss you Doc, and that dry sense of humor! Nashville... you got a good one. -- Mark P.

absolute worst doctor in u.s.a.

Paid for PPO insurance and Dr. Fine knew my name and chatted with me about my issues and also asked about family. New practice I am back to being a number. Doctor not warm and acted like I was a so call " trade charge visit " . Wish my insurance plan had a doctor rating where could discuss issues like feeling like money I am spending I did not get the service thought would. Guess this coming year get cheap plan as if treated cheaply why not buy cheap plan.

Only go to Dr Fine if you want a doctor that will give you a thorough checkup and will be honest with you. Funny but to the point and tells you like it is. I am very sad to see him leave Snellville, as it will be most difficult to find a new doctor to replace him. Also, he had a great staff in Snellville!
