Dr. John Frederick Altenburg, MD

My 85yr old had her Cataract Surgery performed by Dr Altenburg. She thought his sugerical methods were somewhat old fashioned and this proved true when she had her other Cateract Surgery by Dr Larenzen. His Methods were much more modern. Needless he messed up her Surgery and has very limited vision in the eye he performed the surgery on. At follow up he blamed every including she may had a stroke during the procedure. She went to St Lukes for observation and there was nothing they could do for her. Her recent done at Tampa Eye Clinic Surgical was a complete success. Should have come here for the first surgery. Was told by several people in the eye sugurical world that Dr Altenburg needs to hang it up. He’s getting too old
