Diagnosed me with frozen shoulder and sent me to PT. Shoulder got worse, so he ordered an MRI. He ignored the report that said I had rotator cuff tears and told me to continue exercises that made the shoulder worse. I called UVA and they did further testing and scheduled surgery later this month. If he had been even semi-competent, all this time wouldn't have been wasted and surgery would be over. Instead I've had to endure more pain and probably further damage.

Dr. Barnard, is very professional. He replaced my shoulder and I recovered completely and very happily. He's the best!

Dr Barnard is always spot on. He was able to diagnose problems I have had with my rotator cuff , knee and shoulder. He has resolved all of them so far without surgery. He is very knowledgeable and uses surgery as a last option.

Dr. Barnard listens intently and makes sure that he understands how I am feeling. He is genuinely concerned with my well being and his suggestions for help from colleagues makes me feel like I am a step closer to getting the answers I have been working towards for nearly a year.

Dr. Barnard repaired a rotator cuff tear on my right shoulder and did a wonderful job. I had very little pain and 4 months later doing good

My shoulder surgery by Dr. Barnard went very well as did my follow-up. I would strongly recommend him as a surgeon and the therapy team as well.

Dr. Bernard performed meniscus repair surgery on my 13 year old son, & we couldn't have been happier with him! Caring, thorough, & professional....& went out of his way to make sure the surgery was done ASAP.
