Outstanding doctor and surgeon. If you have to have surgery this is the way to do it.

Dr. Byrd is a kind, caring and compassionate surgeon. Over a year ago, Dr. Byrd preformed surgery on my back that others would not touch. After years of enduring pain on a daily basis, I will be eternally grateful for his skills and expertise in straightening me out! His staff was committed to keeping me and my family informed on all aspects of the surgery. They made sure we knew what to expect before and afterwards. De.Byrd is an awesome doctor. I have terrible sciatica in left hip leg and foot. Experienced severe numbness and pain. He did surgery as a last resort on my back. And a year later I have been released from year. I would recommend him to anyone. Great doctor

Dr. Byrd has performed neck and back surgery on me over the past 13-15 years. My most recent surgery was five months ago. Both surgeries were more than successful. He is a compassionate, loving and kind doctor. He has a sense of humor that helps ease the tension one feels when they know that they are truly a surgical candidate. He does not make rash decisions when recommending surgery...surgery is the absolute last choice. Five months after back surgery for several herniated discs and a torn nerve, my pain has tremendously decreased. I no longer need a walker or cane. I did Everything I was directed to do via PT/OT after surgery. After two-weeks, my pain subsided tremendously. And I can say without hesitation, Dr. Byrd performed two spinal surgeries on me and I have very, very limited pain from both. Only an excellent doctor with the knowledge, skills and gift from above could operate on someone as successfully as this doctor. I recommend him to my friends and family. They… all love him as a doctor just as I do. If I could give him 20 stars I would.

Be careful when you go into his office because he's not who he supposed to be he do things to you that he don't supposed to do he get away with it because he got money he got it to me

Dr. Byrd III knew exactly what to do to relieve my condition & also took the time to go over the MRI he had ordered for me so that I too could understand. I highly recommend him.

I have never felt so discounted before by such an egotistical medical provider.

Would not recommend his services for anyone. Think he has been doing surgery to long and is burned out. Always prescribes pain meds to prolong surgery. He was good at one time but that time has passed.

On the recommendation of my doctor where I live I went to see Dr. Bird. It bothered me that he did not hear what I was saying, but I was tok0ld he was vedy good and I needed help. I had back surgery/fusion. I felt somewhat better, but not perfect. I come from a medical family so I rever doctors. A few months later I went for a check up, I was in terrible pain, with stabbing and pinching. He gave mesome painkillers and and injection of cortisone, and prescribed physical therapy. I had almost 6 months of physical therapy, and kept on getting worse. Finally the physical therapist said "there is nothingi can do for you". I never went back to see Dr. Bird. He does not lksten to the patient. He is too busy talking with nis nurse or associate. I amhaving revision surgery, because 2 of the screws are backing out.
