Dr. John D Carroll, MD

I was so impressed with my first visit. Highly recommend. Excellent staff and wonderful doctor. He made feel welcomed and truly cared. So rare these days

While knowledgeable, Dr. Carroll can be quite rude. He will take personal calls and texts when he should be focused on his patients. Office staff were gruff and the office manager didn’t take complaints about office staff incompetence seriously.

Dr. Carroll has my upmost respect. He saved my husbands life when NO other physician knew what was going on with him. He takes time with you. Staff is great and bloodwork is a breeze with the ladies in the back. I wouldn’t trust my life with any other doctor!

Do NOT recommend. Wait times are disrespectful. First appointment waited 2 hours and there were no cars in the lot. Doctor spends 5 minutes and asks no questions. He never bothered to write prescriptions from a hospital stay and tried to refill the ones from the hospital. That confused the pharmacy. The nurse refused to help and I spent hours calling both trying to figure out why critical meds couldn't be refilled. It's been several months and it's still not corrected. Doctor also couldn't be bothered to fill out a 15 minute health assessment for me. He's really uncaring and sloppy. Stay far away.

Although "seeming" a likeable-enough character, this man dropped me as a patient on the word of a much younger colleague (Dr. James Choo) who was totally mistaken about what he accused me of. It was Choo who absolutely ignored my complaints (which I later found were absolutely common in the state of (ill) affairs I was in) Dr. John D Carroll, however, who followed suit after seeing me for months w/ absolutely no issues, didn't even have the courtesy of discussing the matter with me. I was advised by mail that he was severing the Dr.-patient relationship for.......?????? it did not say anything at all specifically discriptive. He must have taken a different kind of oath; the other Dr. was inexperienced, but he should have known simple things like my compromised liver was not going to benefit by his having me on a tylenol compound for over a year ! This kind of medical assassination is, in my view, despicable.

I have been going to Dr. Carroll at least 5 years. He changed to a new practice management about 1 1/2 yrs ago. I do know feel rushed on my appointment, he listens to everything I want to tell him, he has a wonderful personality, the staff is definitely an A+. Dr. Carroll has called me himself with results just to make sure I did not have more questions. I have referred to him my husband, four adult daughters, one son-in-law, and a close friend. They all are equally happy as I am.

Staff was friendly. Doctor Carroll sat down and let me talk. Appointment was 30 minute new patient appointment. Spent full time with me and labs were done in the office. I don't think these other reviews saw same doctor. I think I finally found a doctor who can take care of all my medical problems

****BEWARE**** Do not waste your time with Dr. Carroll. You are guaranteed to wait at least 1 hour past your appointment time. He will spend no more than 5 minutes with you and accomplish nothing that you set an appointment for in the first place. Dr. Carroll will try to wisk you out the door as quickly as possible to get to the next "customer" as nobody is treated like a "patient". Definitely more of a profit-driven operation than a caring internal medicine office. Set an appointment at your own risk!!

Waited 1 hour past appointment time. Did not receive what I was there for (chest x-ray) because office was backed up. Wanted to talk more about transferring my prescription to his office than my reason for being there...
