Dr. John Lawrence Cherry, DO

Extremely poor nursing staff who conducts their job with zero care for the patient. Nurse was unprofessional enough to drop the ball on ordering my covid test before a procedure then when she finally realized it she called and had me go at the last minute to another facility causing me to have to take off work twice for pre surgery procedures that should have been done all at once when I questioned her if there was still enough time to get the covid test and have results before the procedure she says well of course...long story short the day of the procedure the covid test wasn’t back and I again took off work and waited half the day at the hospital because Dr. Cherry told me it would be back any minute after a half a day of waiting he said we would reschedule and to add insult to injury I am now being charged for the pre testing when because of Dr. Cherry and his nurse’s negligence I didn’t even have the procedure but still have to pay for their negligence when I already paid losing… time at work and not having the procedure that I was told I really needed. Needless to say I will not be visiting Dr. Cherry or his incompetent staff again!!!

I remember you, but you save so many people you don't remember me. It was a close call and I remember you saving me when I was internally bleeding and had almost died. Not many people live through what I did, but I did thanks to your emergency surgery. I remember fighting for my life and my twin was by my side right before surgery. My twin still has her twin thanks to you and your staff. Thank you for saving my life. God bless you.

Phenomenal Doc! He goes out of his way to make everyone comfortable, and to explain to you what is going on. He is also very reassuring. He cares massively about the welfare of both mother and baby, so he will tell you straight. Don't expect him to be easy on you if your a smoker either! He is always on time, and everyone is his practice is caring and loving. He's funny as well!

I initially thought this doctor was pleasant and disregarded his prior low reviews. I missed three consecutive appointments due to transportation issues and the flu (and called to cancel prior to all but the last). When I called to reschedule, I was informed he had terminated my care. No one from his office ever called get in touch with me, or clarified this policy when I called to cancel. I am a month away from a scheduled c-section with a high risk pregnancy- and now have no doctor, nor a referral for a new one. Frankly, this was unwarranted and shows a great lack of empathy for his patients.

Do not waste your time coming here if you value your time and life. I saw this doctor once early in my pregnancy and they called me asking for baby delivery fees at 8 weeks pregnant.!!!!! after that visit. I work for a great company with great benefits and may I add decent pay. After asking around if that was normal.....??? I personally filled in the blanks as to why it was necessary for him to offer me a payment plan for labor and delivery fees at 8 weeks pregnant. I am glad I have a fabulous life as a person of color in this country and I am always a step ahead when someone judges me.Needless to say, I moved to another state where my first delivery of my wonderful triplets was joyous and no one had to worry about my finances before they saw me. I guess its really hard for a lot of people to treat someone else like they would want to be treated.

23 is too young to get a tubal according to dr cherry

He is a very caring, loving, patient, and interested in his patients. I don't know where I would be without him. He delivered both of my children. My first pregnancy was a very rock one. He come back from vacation just to be able to deliver her.

This man saved my life when i was internally bleeding out and had lost 80% of the blood in my body. It is a miracle i am still alive thanks to this doctor!!!! Married now and happily enjoying my life! Thanks Dr. Cherry!

I was told they don't see sick pregnant women who have the flu or strep throat so the other pregnant women won't get it even though it's already all over the city in stores and restaurants. Primary doesn't see pregnant women who are sick because they don't treat pregnant woman and they don't take sooner care is what we were told by two other doctors I called. When I had my kids they put sick preggos in different room away from the man sitting room. I was about to take her to the emergency room but finally a friend told me they will take her at a Urgent care clinic on Sante fe. Neither them nor her primary or mine has ever heard of a doctor that will not treat a woman for being sick because she's pregnant. It lacks logic. If you don't want woman to catch what's already all over the city they will all need to be in a bubble and all items including food touched or by human hands or by people who breathe, sterilized and given with people in hazmat suits. My daughter got it leaving… her home for an hour in 3 weeks of not leaving her home to get groceries so logic says it doesn't matter they are or will be exposed help my sick daughter please.
