Dr. John Dacanay, MD

Where to start about Dr.Dacanay he is honestly a god sent. I feel like we were introduced to him for a reason. I was in the hospital just had an emergency C-section and Dr.North was our amazing Dr at the time. We first met Dr.Dacanay the day of our hospital discharge, it was quick but he was nice. Few hours after getting home my husband went to get my meds I needed for recovery and man did I need them. Walgreens was giving us the run around and my husband stayed there for hours trying to get them and told them they wouldn't because of a signature they couldn't read. My husband called Lovelace asked to talk to the Dr. Which was Dacanay and told him the situation. He then spoke to the person in charge of giving meds at Walgreens and told them how serious he was and how serious the situation was. They said due to them closing that we were going to have to pick them up in the morning. Dr.Dacanay told them that would not work and got them to give my husband my meds that night. I remember… thinking wow a man we just met and he is sticking up for a complete stranger. (meant a lot) Almost 2yrs later and found out we are expecting our second baby. Unfortunately Dr.North was no longer around but no worries because my husband and I remembered this amazing doctor that left an impression on us. We used Dr.Dacanay and no words can describe how he was to us and his staff.They don't get enough credit they really don't. Unfortunately I was going to have to have another C-section this time and Dr.Dacanay took good care of me. He even fixed a keloid that I had after my first C-section and it looked beautiful and I felt a lot better about my scar. He was a part of every bit of my second pregnancy and delivery and now this being my 3rd pregnancy I've seen no difference. I have yet to deliver but Dr.Dacanay assured us he would be right there. Thank you so much Dr.Dacanay and thank you to your staff if you all read this. You all make my husband, our babies, and I do comfortable we really do appreciate you more than you know.

Best doctor ever. Very patient thorough and wonderful bedside manners. Very professional and truly cares for his patients well being. Would highly recommend.

Worst Dr experience I have ever encountered. Maria and Vanessa (the Drs assistants) are unqualified and unprofessional. They do not get back to the patient in a reasonable amount of time and do not get orders put in properly. It took over 3 hours to see the Dr on a routine visit. The worst part was being contacted 3 weeks after my appointment for a UTI. It took three weeks to tell me I needed an antibiotic. Very dangerous to both me and my unborn child. I do NOT recommend Dr Dacanay or dealing with his ‘assistants’!

Wow! I wish all doctors were as amazing as Dr. D.

He made my birth very easy and everything came out great... ????THANK YOU DOCTOR DACANAY????

Dr. Dacanay is the best doctor I have ever had. He is genuine and caring. I am moving and am sad to leave such an amazing doctor behind.

Dr. Dacanay just delred my second child. He was so wonderful. He delivered him on his day off. Don't know any other doctor that would be willing to do that for a patient. He is very caring and compassionate. I don't ever want to go to another O.B.
