Dr. John Michael Devaro, MD

Dr. Devaro and his staff are used to dealing with children, so they speak to their adult patients (like me!) in a language they can understand. I love Dr. Devaro! He is no nonsense, quick and efficient, yet somehow finds the time to answer all your questions with patience. Unlike many doctors, he gives you the opportunity to ask questions, without appearing to be in a hurry because he has 40 more patients lined up behind you. His entire staff is caring and professional and manages to make what can be a scary experience (even for an adult!) a lot of fun. His bedside manner is the best. If you are lucky enough to have him perform eye surgery on you or your child, you will find that he is very present in the moment. He sees you before you head to the OR to reassure you and is right there with you as you head off into oblivion. Following surgery, he is one of the first people you see when you come back around in recovery. As soon as you are alert enough, he explains how the… surgery went, what the next steps are, etc. I would trust my life in this man's hands!

Excellent doctor and surgeon! He saw our daughter for 18-24 months to try out all kinds of other methods before resorting to surgery.

I absolutely Love Dr. Devaro... He has been SEEING after my children's vision for 5 years, they were patients when he was at the Georgia Eye Institute and I had to follow him. He's wonderful with the children and I ackknowledge him as an expert!
