A fellowship-trained spinal surgeon, Dr. Ehteshami focuses on the treatment of cervical spinal disease, including cervical stenosis, degenerative disc disease, neck and arm pain, along with numbness and weakness. Dr. Ehteshami is a John C. Lincoln- Scottsdale Health Care affiliated physician. He attended medical school at Thomas Jefferson University and the Rothman Institute. He completed his orthopedic residency at Hospital for Special Surgery, which has repeatedly been ranked the No. 1 orthopedic program by U.S. News and World Report. He also completed a spinal surgery fellowship at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, one of the top spine surgery programs in the U.S. He has conducted research on cervical disc replacements. His current work is on outpatient, micro-invasive, image-guided techniques for performing cervical spinal surgery.As part of the Cervical Spinal Centers, which offices in Scottsdale, Gilbert and Glendale, Dr. Ehteshami is able to accommodate patients with …urgent needs within the same week. Patients with pain radiating into the arms from the neck, numbness in the fingers, and/or weakness in the hands and arms, may have pressure on their nerves. An MRI of the cervical spine can identify these problems. An MRI demonstrating severe stenosis can lead to damage to the nerves in the neck area. Such findings should be evaluated and monitored by a spinal specialist independent of the severity of the pain and symptoms. Many patients can be treated non-operatively with excellent resolution of symptoms. My MRI revealed that I needed a 3 level ACDF or risk paralysis. Dr Ehteshami was very thorough, positive and calming during our appointment. He explained what he could do for me and I have to say, after 7 years, I'm doing well and have no numbness, tingling or pain. I am back to playing my guitar with no deficit at all. My thanks to Dr Ehteshami for his skillful surgery and kind manner.

Dr. Ehteshami was my surgeon May 2019 and I am still overcome with thankfulness for this kind man and brilliant surgeon who sacrificed his time and talent to help me! After over 3 years of unbearable lower back pain from a red light runner MVA, I can never thank Dr. Ehteshami enough that at just 1 month post op, how much the surgery has already changed my life! I have faith after your care, that I will be a healthy person who will once again be able to hike, bike, long walks, and just overall better without the debilitating pain that had affected every area of my life. Dr. Ehteshami is by far the most incredible doctor I have ever been seen by. His care and follow up are impeccable and his staff is top notch. If you pass him up as a doctor for your back, you will definitely miss out on how a patient should be treated. Thank you for my surgery Dr. Ehteshami! Feels amazing.

Dr. Ehteshami is the best there is I recommend him to anyone having any type of back issues. He is fantastic and there isn't even words how to describe how happy I am he was my surgeon and physician!!

He was very Co.passionate yet knowledgeable. I have been to three surgeons for 2ND and 3ed opinions and didn't get the same treatment or get the feeling that I would be comfortable having them do my surgery. I am going back to Dr Etishami for my t lift L4-L5.fusion.

Dr. Ehteshami is a very talented surgeon. He saved my life when every surgeon I contacted for 14 years refused to accept me as a patient due to my extreme adult onset scoliosis which was caused by a previous failed lumbar fusion. He is kind and I never had any doubts that I was in good hands. After my fourth surgery performed by him in 13 months, I feel like I have the ability to live a normal life.

He was a great physician and his assistant was very helpful. He went over everything in great detail with me like no other physician has ever done. His staff was very nice the office was clean. I would recommend Dr Ehteshami to any and everyone.
