Dr. John Gomez, MD

I was very impressed with the 2.5 hours this doctor spent with me on my initial evaluation and exam! He listened to my concerns and explained his concerns about my past protocol. I have just moved and therefore need new doctors; I am very optimistic that he can help with the quality of my life! I experience a great deal of pain every day that will only get worse as time goes on ... he made me feel better when he said to me "I treat all of my patients like they were my brother or sister; I want only to help them. If I don't think something is helping them then I try something and continue to search till we find something that does!" What more can we as patients ask! I am grateful to have found him and very hopeful that he can help me at this time; I know he is going to sure try!

Office staff called me to confirm my appointment one day ahead, and I asked if they received my X-ray report (which I was told was sent to them from another doctor) I was told they did not have it so I picked it up that later that day and it had a fax confirmation sheet attached to it, meaning it was sent! I went at my appointed time the next day, and gave the receptionist my report. She said they already had it. Only one other patient was waiting and she was taken back after a few minutes, another patient came after me . After an hour I was moved from the lobby to his office to wait again. This took one hour and seven minutes. I mentioned the wait. He looked at his appointment list and thought I was the patient who was scheduled one hour after me, and told me I only waited ten minutes. It was not reassuring that he didn't even have my name straight. I said no it had been over an hour and I told him my name. His reply was "you have to wait four hours in some doctor's… offices." He offered to excuse or apology. This was not acceptable to me. He asked me several questions and I had to repeat my replies up to three times. Perhaps he was preoccupied and not paying attention. He gave me a brief exam, which took a couple minutes and wrote a script for an MRI. The office staff said they needed to contact my primary about the MRI, before I could get it, and I would be called the next day. No one called me the next day, or the day after. I cannot say anything good about my experience there. I received no care basically and the doctor and his staff seemed very unorganized to say the least.
