Dr. John Paul Jones, PhD

I found Dr. Jones not helpful to me. He was rude to me but nice to my husband. Dr. Jones was not professional addressing our problems.

Dr. Jones is very perceptive to your needs. I felt he listened carefully and was able to provide recommendations that were helpful. In my opinion, he is a very professional psychologist.

I found Dr. Jones to be a very friendly and caring psychologist. He was empathetic and work to help resolve my issues. He spends more than the traditional 45 minutes during each session. I appreciated his dedication and caring attitude. I highly recommend Dr. Jones to anyone who want help with their mental health issues.

Dr. Jones is a very honest, caring and empathetic doctor. He helped me to identify my goals and to achieve them. I was very depressed and anxious when I started seeing Dr. Jones, I am a different person now. Happier and more fulfilled.

Dr. Jones was empathic spending time to explore my presenting problems engaging me in the development of my treatment plan and was always there when I needed him.

We came in to get information on our file and make a payment. Dr. Jones was not helpfull in the least. He was rude to my husband for no reason at all! We had seen another therapist in the same building and Dr. Jones took over this building and the one we saw (Reppuhn) is on Court Street now.

After one meeting he jumped to conclusions about my mental health not listening to my previous diagnoses, PTSD. I have see many mental health providers in the last 25 years all with the same diagnoses; yet they are all wrong. His behavior, statements, belittling opened Pandora's box and lend to a PTSD flare. This was so significant that I hospitalized myself until the flash backs and anxiety was under control. At the hospital I was again diagnosed with PTSD. All I was there for was to get evaluated for bariatric surgery. The doctor at the hospital said he did see any reason to not procede with the surgery...yet, Dr. Jones does...because in his book I don't have PTSD but other mental issues that only he can cure.

I would not recommend this psychologist to anyone. He is rude and lacks basic professional skills such as listening ands offering research-based strategies. I suggest that a medical board review his practices as patients feel worse after sessions with Dr. Jones.
