Dr. John Robert Macri, MD

If you are over 40, don't bother with Dr. Macri, as this "specialist" will likely diagnose you without reviewing any of your medical history. This was the specialist I was sent to for hearing loss and pain in an ear. He was curt and arrogant. "You can get a second opinion, but they'll tell you the same thing." He really said that... Is he God? Guess what, he was wrong. Had I not seen someone else, I actually have lost 95% of my hearing. That's dangerous and reckless practice. Said to me during my brief (30 seconds) exam about my hearing loss being progressive: "Didn't you hear me?" He's so busy he'll give you a newspaper article to read about hearing loss, etc. on your way out. Doesn't that make you feel good? Then you get the bill, that suggests he actually did an exam. Bottom of the Sutter pond.

Diagnosed me before he came in the door. Concluded I had hearing loss for unknown reason, and it might have helped if he looked at my medical history, which he didn't. Live with the "white noise" which was only a small part of the problem. Busy. Didn't bother to ask appropriate questions. Suggested a brain scan? Oh, 1% chance it's a brain tumor. Sorry, live with the noise and continued hearing loss. This doctor unaware I had complex neurological issues from neck trauma. Gave me a poorly copied news article to go home and go deaf with. He actaully asked me as I sat there in stunned disbelief that this was so cursory, "Didn't you hear me." HIPPA violation as all the patients he was seeing that day on display on the computer, complete with heir birthdates. Sloppy, and pretty frightening that I was processed so quickly. Now I have to go to another "specialist." Sutter has always had problems with the HIPPA and thier "specilalists." Dr. Macri just lowers the bar.

NO bedside manner. After three years of visits to give him a real chance. He could not diagnose me. Told me to "go back to work" there is nothing he could do for me!REALLY!
