Dr. John Jerry Marsella, MD

I was so surprised and shock! I wouldn't have believed his behavior if I didn't see and experienced it for myself. Not only him, but several of the nurse aide's was just as impertinent. This has been one horrendous experience having their startling abruptness from out of no where. These are people who we trust and suppose to care about patient life..

I was impressed when I first met him at the pain clinic at Flowers Hospital. He seemed to remember me, although we had never met. He had great bedside manners. That is where it ended. To summarize, it was a horrible painful experience. I've had it done 6 or 7 times by other physicians with remarkable ease. Water boarding would have been much better than the pain I went through. I still had faith in him until the next day when I called him. It took 7 times for a nurse to call me and they ordered some mild pain killers. The third day, I started dragging my foot. I had no feeling in it. I called his nurse, she said for me to call my doctor. I called my doctor, she said to call Dr. Marsella. I dealt with the pain through out the next week and following weekend. I tried everyday to get some direction on him. I couldn't lie down and could only sit for short periods without terrible pain. So no sleep hardly for a week. Then the foot went totally numb, I finally got him. … Great? No, he told his nurse to tell me that he didn't have me sign a Pain Contract!!!! Wheres the contract Dr. Marsella? Why didn't you tell me about a contract? He pumped all of us through that clinic like we were cattle at a auction. He was nice to me but horrible to his staff. As I was leaving I heard him say to them "Faster, Faster" Dr. Marsella thank you for ruining my life long relationship with Flowers Hospital. Thank you Dr. Marsella for making me very happy that I don't work for you. Shame on you Flowers Hospital for not knowing this man better. Don't ask his staff, they cannot afford to say anything. Don't go to him until you ask for references. I will now live in pain the rest of my life because of one man, one Doctor, that let me down so horribly, I'm can't imagine trusting anyone else. Thank you Dr. Marsella jr., spend that Medicare money well. A little man like you needs all the money you can get to feel 6 ft tall.

He is kind, cautious & compassionate. I would recommend him to anyone in chronic pain. All physicians I have seen tell me how much they trust & respect him

Dr. Marsella has been my Doctor for over 20 years. His staff gets me in to see him if my pain increases beyond reasoning. Trust him completely.

I have seen Dr. Marsella twice for pain in my leg, he and his staff have really helped me, I would highly recommend Dr. Marsella to anyone suffering in pain.
