Dr. John Anthony Murphy, MD

We had just moved to the area when I got pregnant, having 5 previous miscarriages I was looking for the best doctor I could find. Dr Murphy came highly recommend by everyone I talked to. I’m glad I found dr Murphy, he was absolutely amazing through my whole pregnancy. He took his time to sit and talk and explain everything in great detail. His bedside manner was great and knew how to make you feel comfortable. I ended up having my miracle baby and I think a lot had to do with dr Murphy’s expertise. I would recommend him a million times over!! Thank you Dr Murphy! Forgot to mention, very short wait times, office staff and nurses were incredible!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Murphy for over 13 years. He recently moved to a new office and has none of my records, so I cannot get an appointment. His office refuses to fax a request to St. Charles. Dr. Murphy is an amazing doctor. He delivered both of my children, took care of me when I had carcinoma insitu, performed my hysterectomy, all with the upmost expertise and care.

After having my first baby in Arizona, I was scared I would not find another OB/GYN I’d feel comfortable with. When I asked around for recommendations, Dr Murphy was the only name I heard. I was a little hesitant about having a male OB, but Dr. Murphy has an amazing ability to make his patients feel comfortable. He is kind, compassionate and genuinely cares about his patients. He made my labor a little more bearable and safely delivered my daughter when she had the cord wrapped around her neck. I only wish Dr. Murphy could be our family doctor! Even my husband found him to be personable, funny, and genuine.

Dr. Murphy was awesome with my pregnancy and birth of my sons. He always took the time to listen and answer questions, and I felt like he was highly knowledgeable and had lots of interesting data/studies (I am a nurse so I found this informative and important). He was amazing during the delivery of my son, both my husband and I were impressed by his bed side manner during this time. You definitely get the sense that he truly cares for his patients even after having practiced for many years. I would and have recommended him to many of friends, all with great things to say as well.

Always made myself and my husband feel at ease. He remembered who we were without having to look at our chart every time and always took the time to listen to our concerns and numerous questions, it being my first baby. He always smiled and put me at ease during the difficult times during Labor and then surgery. He even took the time to make sure myself and baby were perfectly well and checked in on us after delivery, and several days later before being discharged. I would highly recommend him. He will continue being my doctor for as long as he practices and is in the area.

Dr. Murphy is an excellent doctor and I highly recommend him to anyone that needs an OB/Gyn. I always feel as though he listens to my concerns and never feels that anything I say is unimportant. Anytime there is a problem it is explained in detail until both my husband and I understand. When our daughter was delivered prematurely and spent 7 weeks in the NICU the nurses in the NICU "tattled" on Dr. Murphy because he visited her daily just to check on her also. At that point she was not his patient but he still checked on her and we appreciated that he cared enough to follow up.
