Dr. John Cyril Nichols, MD

Had my 1st eye cataract removal and multifocal lens install done by Dr. Nichols. He is polite and made me feel confident going into the surgery. Results are excellent and this doctors experience is reflective in his work. Looking forward to doing my 2nd eye with him next month

I had cataract surgery on my left eye by another doctor, and suffered for six months with pain in that eye plus I could not see well with that left eye. Went to see Dr. Nichols and he knew what to do right away. He removed the lens the first doctor put in and placed a new one in there, the next day most of the pain was gone. One month later we did the right eye. In my opinion he is the best, and the office staff is very friendly and are ready to help.

I went to Dr Nichols for my comprehensive eye exam. He had been my Doctor for a couple years. I had a 4:30pm appointment. I didn’t get called in until almost 5:30pm. The tech did some preliminary tests with me then was going to take my eye pressure and took out a eye pressure pen. I have extremely sensitive dry eyes and have had corneal erosion that was still bothering me. I said to the tech who was extremely nice that I can’t do the pen my eyes are too sensitive and will wait for the doctor to do the pressure the way I have been doing it for years. The tech leaves and comes back and says Dr Nichols said if you will not do the pressure with the pen and have her do it he said he will not see me today and I can reschedule with another doctor. Dr Nichols did not even come in to say anything to me...And I had already been waiting a full hour, took time off of work to schedule this appt and waited patiently. Dr Nichols has taken my pressure many times with the machinr and never said a word… but today he was running late and just didn’t want to be bothered. Also...the fact that I was having issues with my eyes that I needed to see him about and a corneal erosion still giving me problems...I left speechless and said I will see another doctor then. I have never seen such a cold uncaring unapologetic doctor. I just want to warn other patients to BEWARE

I had an injured eye that would not dilate properly and needed a special procedure requiring hooks to open my pupil during surgery. Needless to say I was very concerned about the procedure. Dr. Nichols did such excellent work on my eye surgery (which was more intense than typical) that I can't begin to thank him enough! Also cataract I had was difficult. The first 4 hours after surgery I was seeing as if through a dense London fog but improving. Then by 7-8hrs I knew my vision was much superior than before and getting better each hour. Around 10 hours after surgery before going to sleep for the night, I was very happy, I woke up this AM and think a miracle was preformed. I had a visit with Dr. Nichols and my eye is still to improve, as it won't be until tomorrow the drugs for dilateing ware off and the swelling is completely gone. This likely means I even have more improvement to look forward to. I am absolutely amazed at the work John did and how do you thank and praise … person enough for improving ones vision? I fully 100% recommend Dr. Nichols based on the cataract surgery I had done. Also, my eye required a more complex procedure.

Dr. Nichols is a truly wonderful doctor. He always takes the time to listen to his patients and he always makes sure to answer all questions. He is very intelligent and a very skilled surgeon as well

Dr Nichols is a highly qualified snd caring physician. He is extremely patient and tskes time to listen and to explain procedures and to look for answers to unusual problems. I highly recommend him.
