Dr. Kayvan Keyhani, MD

My experience with Dr. Keyhani was outstanding from start to finish. His exams were thorough, he explained things clearly and he was extremely pleasant, as was his staff. I had cataract surgery and lens replacement on both eyes and I am extremely pleased.

The staff is rude , and condescending and the doctor is pompous and not responsive to his patients needs

May be a wonderful surgeon, we will never know. He lacks bedside manner and definitely does not put the patient first. After making an appt for removal of an eyelid cyst the front desk said they would give my very phobic of needles, daughter a Valium at the time of the appt and it would be done on day of visit. After sitting for one hour to have an eye test and another hour in the back waiting room, he evaluated and took pictures and said to make an appt for removal when she would then be given meds to calm her down. Fast forward to one month later, removal day... they gave her 0.5 mg of Valium and had us wait for it to kick in. 30 mins later he saw her and said he will give it more time and go back and sit down. I asked if 0.5 mg was enough. He stated “1mg would take down an elephant, 0.5mg would take down a horse, give it some more time, she won’t be able to walk out of here.” My daughter remained the same as when we entered. Unphased by the dosage. Half and hour later he… attempted to begin when my daughter flinched twice he said we need to reschedule and they’ll give her more next time, “I can’t keep my staff here late to wait for more meds to kick in”. At this point it was 4:40 pm. Clearly his time is more valuable than mine or my daughters who took the night out of work, after school and me who took 4 hours out of work to make this appt. Clearly he does not put the patient first. Being in the medical field I expressed how I would never do this to my patients. I was appalled at the fact that he was unwilling to have staff wait Later than 4:59pm to get the job done without regard for us, his patients. Disgusted really. He wants me to come back and do this all over again on his schedule, without regard for ours. Makes me appreciate my practice and our treatment of our patients even more. He should be ashamed of himself if this is the message he gives his staff. All he had to do was give an additional dosage after he saw 30 mins later, nothing had taken effect, or perhaps read and follow dosage info for diazepam, as a doctor should already know it’s recommended dosage. It is not 0.5ml for a 150 lb 17 1/2 year old.

They treat older people like they are a nuisance, telling them the phone is breaking up. Then they hang up on the patient. They do not return phone messages. Oh, and the bit about prescriptions will be given a week before surgery. Don’t hold your breath! I don’t understand how this office gets 5 stars at all.

Dr. Keyhani performed a complex reconstruction surgery just below my right eye after mho surgery required a significant removal of cancerous region including partial eyelid removal. These complex tasks were handled exactly as he predicted and my recovery was very fast. The areas near my eye are looking very close to before surgery. My full eye sight has returned to the eye that was closed for almost a month as well. In addition, Dr Keyhani made me feel very confident that the surgery would be successful and always available if I needed to discuss my recovery status. An exceptional surgeon and human being!!

I would like to say from my initial visit to the office to the end of eye surgery this by far was the most professional and courteous experience I have ever had in the medical field. The entire staff in the office ( a special acknowledgment to Kathy) the ladies upfront and all of the other Doctors in the Office. I can extend my most sincere thankfulness to Doctor Keyhani for his extreme expertise in my total successful eye cataract surgery. I would recommend this man and his entire team in a heart beat. His staff is horrid, rude and condescending. Never again.

I am very happy with the outcome of my surgery. Everything went smoothly, the doctors office staff were helpful and provided professional service.

Very poor outcome

Office staff is rude and could care less about patients. They scheduled me for an appointment after 30 minutes back and forth on hold and then when I arrived there they told me I did not have an appointment. I never got to see a doctor.
