Dr. John E Pippen, MD

Dear All, I'm a friend of Dr. John E Pippen from Antalya/TURKEY and I need to get in contact with him. Is there anyone to share his personal e-mail address with me?

Dr. Pippen is a great doctor. He has an amazing bedside manner. He respects your time and doesn't make you wait too long. He teaches medical students as well, so expect those to be in on your appointments. I don't mind; I couldn't imagine another oncologist I would want future doctors learning from. He has managed my case well. I do not dread my appointments with him, as he always manages a smile no matter how his day has gone. He remembers my personal details and asks after my family too. Most importantly, he is incredibly knowledgeable and competent. He is up to date on the latest advances. He incorporates best practices. My one big complaint is due to the phone issue with his office. You cannot call and leave a message for a staff member. You cannot call and ask to be transferred to an appropriate person. You must tell the answering service your message and then they send an email to the appropriate person. Sounds good in theory, right? However, it has vastly… increased the wait times on the phone. Previously, I could call, the answering service would answer and direct my call to the appropriate line, I would leave a voicemail and get a call back later. (The call back later has never changed. It is nearly impossible to actually get who you want on the phone when you call.) Now, when you call, the phone system automatically transfers you to Hold while you wait for the answering service. I have waited on Hold for over 20 minutes that last several times I have had to call. Waiting on Hold for over 20 minutes just to leave a message is ridiculous! Plus you also have to disclose confidential medical information to whoever answers the phone, so that they can then compose the message. I mentioned it to my doctor last time I was there and his response seemed to indicate that everyone was fed up with this. Either hire more people to answer the phone or get rid of this system. It doesn't work.

Dr. Pippen first diagnose me with stage 4 breast cancer and stage 2 bone cancer in May 2009. Dr. Pippen was straight forward and honest and very encouraging and he has a fantastic sense of humor (which is often needed during stressful times like this) . I have been in remission for 4 1/2 years and see Dr. Pippen 4 times a year for check ups and test. I trust him totally and know that he is a blessing to those he serve.

After my twin sister died with breast cancer, the last thing I wanted to have happen was to find out I had cancer, also. I knew it would devastate my parents and children. Dr. Pippin gave me tremendous support, kindness and the best treatment I could have had. Today, 11 years after my fight with cancer, I am healthy and just retired after 48 years of teaching school. THANK YOU Dr. Pippin for saving my life.

Dr. Pippen is an expert in the field of breast cancer. He always has a positive attitude, but is down-to-earth in his explanation of treatment. He first treated me for Stage 3 breast cancer in 2003 and I have been in remission since my completion of chemo and radiation therapy. I trust him completely and highly recommend him.

DX with BC TN and Pippen was absolutely fantastic. Pippen was recommended by a friend who also went through BC treatment under Pippen. Could not have asked for a better doctor. He was positive and actually had a calming effect during my treatment. He took the time to know me as a person and worked on getting me through the treatment from an emotional aspect as well as medical. Tells it how it is and works through it with you. Very impressed with his style an approach to treating BC.
