Dr. John Frederick Reavey-Cantwell, MD

Deciding to go to this man for a second opinion on my brain tumor was the best thing I have ever done in my life. He is my hero, gave me hope and carefully monitored me. I am a little over a week out post-op and I am doing great. Excellent bedside manner, nurses and staff on his team love him. He is confident, down to earth and I am so glad I made the decision to trust him. I could write a novel on all of the hope and quality of life he gave be back. Thank you for everything, you are truly a life saver Dr. Reavey-Cantwell.

May 29, 2010 I spent the entire day in surgery. Dr Reavey-Cantwell performed an emergency craniotomy for an extremely large aneurism that had already started to leak. I was never so afraid that day, but Dr Reavey-Cantwell and his wonderful team gave me every reason to relax and have the confidence that I needed as a patient to get through a surgery like that. Since that day I have been back to that operating room numerous times to check on the status of them and to repair 4 additional aneurisms some through coiling and an additional craniotomy. I am so lucky that I was referred to such a wonderful Neurosurgeon. I remember that day as if it were yesterday to hear an emergency room physician tell you that you have aneurisms and the first thought is I am going to die and to hear that physician tell you that it is going to be alright that he is referring you to the best Neurosurgeon in the nation and wow was he right. I do not believe for one minute that I would be writing this today had… it not been for Dr Reavey-Cantwell and I have to say his RN Charlotte Gilman is amazing.

Went to see him for second opinion, scheduled surgery right away, artery 99% blocked, now 100% clear! Recommend highly!

Dr. Cantwell took time with me and explained what my problem was and how he was going to take care of it. Although I was nervous about the procedure (stenting of the vertebral artery Dr. Cantwell and his nurse Charlotte assured me everything would be fine and all turned out well. Dr. Cantwell has more of a "human"side, took his time on my office visits I would recommend highly!
