Dr. John C Showalter, MD

Absolutely disgusted at the level of service that has been provided since the office move. I had an annual check up in May along with a chest X-ray. I received a letter in the mail telling me I had a lesion on my lung and needed a CT scan. I had to call the office 4 times to have the order sent. When I asked the nurse why this was happening, she sighed and stated “well, he’s gone from seeing 15 patients per day to 30”. THAT SHOULD’NT BE MY PROBLEM! I was also scheduled an MRI due to serious back issues and 2 back surgeries. When I called 2 times to ask about the MRI, there was nothing noted in my file. My MRI came back as expected. I was suppose to be referred to another neurologist for follow up 5 MONTHS ago and here I sit...no referral. My husband has been on Chantix to help him stop smoking and has called 4 times to have his refill completed. Almost one week it took to get a prescription refilled! We absolutely loved this dr until now. Very upset that we are going to look for… another one but this level of unprofessional behavior and lack of follow through is absolutely unacceptable. I sure am glad my husband’s life didn’t depend on a refill!!

Dr. Showalter is by far the kindest and most attentive doctor I have ever seen. I highly recommend him for his skill, knowledge, and sincere interest in his patients.

Dr Showalter listens to patients and has a great “bedside” manner. He is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Dr. Showalter is without a doubt the best doctor that I have ever had. Dr. Showaler is genuinely interested in his patients and shares his concerns and actually spends time talking with you. If I could rate him ten stars, I would definitely do it. He is not only an excellent and qualified doctor, but he is a very nice person with a "bedside manner" that I have never seen equaled. He is one in a million and I consider myself so fortunate and blessed to be under his care. This is a doctor who truly loves people and is open and honest and encouraging. He takes time to talk with you and to answer every question.
