Summary
Dr. Simmons, a native of Jasper, attended high school at Indian Springs School in Birmingham. He received his B.S. degree at Washington & Lee University in 1969. Dr. Simmons attended Tulane University School of Medicine, receiving his M.D. in 1973. He continued his residency training in New Orleans, completing his otolaryngology residency at Tulane in 1978. Dr. Simmons received his board certification by the American Board of Otolaryngology that same year.
After completing his residency, Dr. Simmons joined Northwest Alabama ENT in Jasper with his father, the late Dr. John Terry Simmons. He has practiced and resided in Jasper since 1978. Dr. Simmons merged his practice with ENT Associates of Alabama in May, 2002.
Dr. Simmons practice includes all aspects of Otolaryngology, especially medical and surgical treatment of sinus disease, salivary gland surgery, and pediatric Otolaryngology. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and the American …Rhinologic Society.
Dr. Simmons is involved in various community activities and organizations. He presently serves on the Board of Indian Springs School. He is on the President's Cabinet of the Walker Area Community Foundation. In addition to work, Dr. Simmons enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, friends, reading, travel, music and tennis.
