Dr. John Martin Tsao, Jr, MD

I was seeing him for approximately 5 years. In all that time, he NEVER discussed the seriousness of my thyroid disease, what medicines were avaliable for it, or how to take them. He repeatedly ignored my symptoms and kept me hanging with "Wait 'til your next blood test" - AFTER EACH BLOOD TEST!! He is considered the "best" in his field - NOT!! However, after seeing 6 other incompetents, I'm still looking. Please, do not waste your time with this one. There is no improvement, here.

while its certainly difficult for m.d's to call on normal results-would have expected a call regarding an abnormal and a prescription for medication especially as i was coming from out of town. is it the staff or physician who no longer cares

He was on call at the hospital when my father was dehydrated and had dementia. He was very helpful. He recognized the problems and had good solutions. He was very available to us. He actually followed up with a home visit nurse to check on my father. I felt like he went the extra mile to help make my Dad comfortable.

After making me wait for 3 months for an an appointment he didn't have time for me the day of my appointment. Then his equally rude office staff rescheduled me over 30 days later. I've heard he only takes patients over 60 because they're more profitable.

Dr. Tsao does not really talk to or listen to his patient. Bedside manner is sorely lacking.

He always seems to be in a hurry and dismisses concerns.He takes numberous phone calls while I am in the office with him and I hear him being dismissive to the patients on the phone. I think it very rude to keep disrupting my appointment for phone calls. I would rather he set aside hours for taking or returning phone calls. Maybe that way he would be able to focus his attention on the patients more.
