Dr. John T. Wells, MD

We have seen Dr. Wells several times a year now for 6 years and are very pleased with the care. He is observant and knowledgeable and has helped us manage my son's various neurological conditions and medications, and also answered questions about school and given us some excellent advice. I have also found the people in his office to be nice and helpful as well.

I was very impressed with Dr. Wells He was very knowledgeable about my son's condition. He had great suggestions and put me completely at ease. My son is slow to engage with strangers but was completely at ease with Dr Wells

Dr Wells is okay--competent and smart, but he never once gave us any extra info--like services or support groups or had any constructive ideas about my daughter. Ever since he moved to the NYU location even getting through to him is a nightmare. They never return your calls and you have to make 4 or 5 of them just to get an appt. He asks to see her every year and yet cannot make the time to do so--he books 18 mos in advance. Not worth it. He is older too so must be about to retire. I suggest finding someone who does not work in health industrialist complex and who has more energy and initiative.

Dr. Wells disappointed us on every level. While his staff is courteous and tries to be helpful, he is an awkward communicator and very chilly with children. He never returned phone calls when we had pressing questions and had his receptionist pass along important test results. I was shocked at his complete disregard for our feelings.

We've been seeing Dr. Wells for our 6 yr old daughter since she was 3-4 months old and he's been so helpful in so many ways. He helped us get enrolled in EI to get her as much therapy as she needed and he has referred us to so many other top notch doctors (depending on what was needed at the time). I never felt rushed during our visit - he is always very thorough in finding out her usual behavior through questioning and direct observation. We highly recommend Dr. Wells.

Dr. Wells spent a lot of time with me, my husband and our daughter. We were, obviously, very tense, and he thoroughly and patiently answered all our questions and gave us, in our minds, an accurate diagnosis. I highly recommend him.
