Dr. John Stephen Wikle, MD

Have been song him for over 10 years. He is a good listener and gives a lot of information in additional to ordering tests and filling prescriptions. He’s also a nice man. I have no complaints

Feels like a business man not doctor. Posted a a sign for additional charges if going beyond appointment. Had him as a doctor for 5 years and never felt like he put in the appropriate time to accurately diagnosis his patients.

Four star Doctor Excllent

I visited this Dr. to follow up on bad gallstone attacks I had in the previous days, as well as to get a full checkup, as I hadn't had insurance in years. He said I could either go on a low fat diet or have my gallbladder removed, which I already knew. As far as my checkup, he said "well at 32 years old you should be fine." Seriously?? I went to the ER the next day in severe pain, and was told I have a gallbladder infection and could've died if left untreated. I can't believe this guy does this for a living. My visit with Dr. Wikle lasted a total of five minutes.

Dr. Wikle has been my dr for years and has always been great! He is not a pill pusher nor does he try to run up bills with requesting a bunch of tests you don't need. He is by far the best Dr. I've ever gone to.

I don't go to a doctor to just see one and get it over with. I go for my annual check up and make sure everything is in order. This doctor does not measure up in terms of giving the proper care and doing a routine check. Didn't even look in my nose for sinus inflammation, ears or check my eyes for simple pupil dilation. All this takes is 45 seconds. Also, routine tests are not routine for him - you have to ask for it.

Dr Wikle is great! very helpful and compasionate.

Both my husband and I have been patients of Dr. Wikle for several years, and he has been everything we hoped for in a doctor to manage our medical care. He never seems rushed and will spend time listening to you (he even remembers what you said at your next visit, be it weeks or months later.) He carefully explains treatments and alternatives, letting you take part in your medical care decisions. His close ties to Hoag Hospital are helpful and he has steered us to excellent specialists there. On a practical level, Dr. Wikle is easily accessible even on short notice, offers prompt service (when is the last time you waited less than 10 minutes for an appointment?)and employs a very polite staff that always returns your calls and responds to requests. Combined with his experience, training and credentials, I'm not sure what else anyone could ask for in a doctor.

I have been going to Dr. Wikle for over 3 years. The wait time in his office is usually 10-15 minutes maximum. He is very attentative to my needs as well as providing accurate diagnosis. I would highly recommend Dr. Wikle as there aren't many doctors who take the time to listen to their patients as does this doctor.
